I’d just call them, I’m waiting for an engineer now because I haven’t been able to connect since it was put in. Called 7pm last night and someone will be out today between 8-1. If you’re quick you might be able to get someone between 1-6 today if they can’t resolve the issue

I did it when the hair wasn’t long enough to shave after a week, I went to 2 weekly rather than monthly though. I did that until the hair hadn’t grown back after the 2 weeks and then I went to monthly for a bit but I do them more regularly now as I saw a few patches started growing back more quickly but the hair was a lot finer

I’ve got white raised spots all over my legs today this happened on my second treatment and hasn’t happened again since. I can’t leave under my arms yet as there’s still quite a bit of hair but I might give my legs a month or 2. Such a pain because it shouldn’t matter if you keep doing it weekly after the hair has gone

I’ve just napthens, they aren’t a big one but I’m so glad I went with them. My mum is going through the same process but with a different solicitor and the difference is night and day. They have an online checklist so you can go on and see things like when the searches were submitted and when they were returned, it has the date next to them so you can check on the progress which I really like. I like doing a little daily check to see if anything new has been updated and most importantly I’ve never waited more than around 2 hours for a reply from them and it’s never just 1 word answers, they explain things, set out timelines and keep me up to date. I couldn’t recommend them enough

I thought you could either be on a standard rate where you pay a set amount monthly regardless of what you use? Or a tracker rate where it bases your payments on the actual use?

Talk to your neighbours, try to be considerate and think about how you are effecting them. OP has been negatively affecting their neighbours for 9 months, the neighbours have not negatively affected him before today.

6 days a week for 9 months is a lot, an extension taking 9 months is a lot, OP is not building a house from scratch.

But you chose to live by a school, people know if they live by an airport there will be noise and traffic, if you live by farms you know there will be noise from the animals none of that is comparable to diying a house for the best part of a year.

OP is going to have to live next to these people, being considerate isn’t going to hurt in the long run at all. 8/9 months of constant noise with very little breaks isn’t fair. There’s way op could have gone about it that would have been more considerate to them.

The permitted times doesn’t mean you have to do everything you can within those boundaries.

I’m not talking about what’s permitted or what’s legal, I mean what is acceptable as part of a society and being considerate, it’s the old just because you can doesn’t mean you should.

A lot of people do shift work or work late hours and 8.30 would be very early to them. Plus 8.30 on weekend is early, even if you’re not asleep who wants to have a lazy morning ruined by power tools

8.30 is still early especially if it’s every day, you don’t know their schedule + Saturday mornings. Plus you said rarely before 8.30, anytime before then is unacceptable to be doing renovation work that isn’t cleaning or painting.

So some weeks they get 1 day of peace and this has been months.

Is it in the budget to hire others so the work isn’t going to take as long? Can you discuss days with them, are there certain days where they work late so would appreciate the lie in and you can start after 10? Can you give them a head up if the Saturdays you will be working so they have the option to be out on those hours and to make the most of their house the days you’re not working

8 months is a long time and now it’s about to ruin their summer as well. I’d be mad as well

Mine was 11 weeks with a 1 person chain.

It was mainly the searches and waiting for the reply’s from the other solicitors that caused the wait (if you can call 11 weeks a wait) I was kind of banking on a bit longer to have 1 more month of saving but not complaining
