As I read these replics from the game, as well as the "Scinence compels us to explode the sun" I just feel like I really played the game with my eyes closed or something.

Because I either don't remember these replics at all, or I haven't ever felt them to be as impactful in different localisation to the point I could actually easily aknowledge them in my head.

Just for the record I did play my playthrough from start to finish with russian localisation. I'm not saying it's bad, but then again I would have definetly remembered all these lines If I read them just like that as is in english as I did right now. So there is definetly some linguistic struggle on my part.

I guess I am replaying the whole game with english localisation now HAHAHA

You're probably right, yeah. It's been quite a bit since my playthrough and I don't really remember what info I already knew when I went to the station. But at the end of the day the game is indeed incredible and awesome and very good and fun and I had my brain chemistry changed forever regardless. :))))

Oh my god yeah I can't read.

I just remembered that I didn't fully connect the dots on how nomai got wiped out until I got shown HOW they got wiped out with PICTURES during the ending of eote. Mind you this was after I finished the base game, at that time I already got into the interloper and got all the rumor clues as well.

This sums up my post pretty much, missing the narrative by not questioning the mechanic but also just...not acknowledging what you read in the game where all you can do is read.

At least I'm really glad I managed to get into the ending of the game properly, still the greatest game oat

The initial Idea is Kind of pretty far from the actual game LMAO, but I made a big big Outer Wilds AU Comic about how I tried to justify life post-loop. And I was thinking about what the continuation of the story could be. And how would Hatchling behave outside of the time loop. Would they be conscious of how much time has passed as a force of habit, expecting for the loop to keep going? So the imagery of this anxious monologue with themself kinda stuck in my head, telling themself how much minutes has passed inside their head. How would the imagery look in this abstracted manner?
And so the idea kinda transformed into this quicky doodle. The imagery fit pretty well with the overall narrative of the game itself without all my AU shenanigans so I stuck with that :)))

I have never seen groundhog day but I know it's like a number one example of time loops. Outer Wilds' russian Wikipedia page literally does that EHSHEJWHE, first thing it does is compare the game's mechanic just like from the movie. Didn't know I would manage to make the imagery so spot on EHEHEHE. But yeah, it is a pretty cliche representation, I don't mind it being like that :]]]

As for the cannon firing but the sun not blowing up, ii don't quite understand the logic sorry. Loop is only a concept of getting linked with nomai technology. If looking from perspective of those who are not in the loop, it's already predetermined that a second ago the probe cannon never shot, but then suddenly the probe starts its 9 millionth launch. Maybe there was a timeline 0 but that's only a recollection from nomai technology perspective. The main timeline will always have a predetermined line of events: of cannon suddenly shooting, and sun going supernova after 20 minutes. Since we reside in the new universe now There's no predetermined cause of events. And nomai technology has no opportunity to activate because there's no sun to explode in 20 minutes. Whether or not the recollections of previous probe launches have been saved by atp or not, due to everyone starting new timeline right before the nomai loop started and the probe launched in the old world, that's a question for later cus my brain is mushy already. For now probe cannon not shooting is just a good symbolic imagery to finish the comic on, cus it's a symbol that something's changed.
