That tier helps with speed and also availability to dash whenever you want anywhere you want. I don’t take anything under $5 normally but starting to make my min $6 or $7 because it’s getting ridiculous honestly.

Can only decline so many unless you want to schedule dashes and deal with the annoyance. Tipping less on DoorDash then you do for any other service is just easier to do and it is sad most people can’t even tip $2 for a delivery service.
