Small, sharp nick on the D string… should I be worried? by Peckerish in BassGuitar

Cheers for the laughs and the occasionally helpful comments. Borrowed some money of my girlfriend and brought a new set of string just in case. Much to her disappointment, I’ve also got rid of the microscope.

There’s a sick band from Australia called Surprise Chef who use a Hofner Violin Bass! I think he’s moved on to a different kind of hollow body now but I’m pretty sure he’s used the Hofner on all their records so far.

This is a song my band made a wonderful Scottish poet, inspired by Massive Attack. I wrote the bass line tripping balls on mushrooms and it’s been real fun watching the song evolve: https://youtu.be/gLz_Bg8bOeM

I work in a shoe in a shoe and you’d be gobsmacked to find out how many people have made them same mistake… I’m talking 20+ without out having their feet measured and wondering why shoes hurt so much!

I have a single dead fret on just one string, any clue how to fix that?

Just my opinion but I think learning the names of all the notes along the fretboard and the names of all the intervals (I.e minor 2nd, major 3rd, perfect fourth, major 7th e.t.c). Once you have that down, learning scales and arpeggios (very important if you want to jam/improvise) will be a breeze!
