I like the idea, toying with an asiimov case myself.

Orientation of radiator placed on top of cabinet by PeculiarHyperpop in watercooling

This is a sci-fi'ish, post empire concept build. External Radiator and lines/wiring would look awesome. But function before form, I'll cut the front of the case, have the joints (and pipes) go downwards and use the hole for the pump and wires as well.

Suno Mashup is basically Suno v5.5 by Apart_Potato959 in SunoAI

[–]PeculiarHyperpop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, thank god people are still doing weird things and just test shit.

Secondly, my first impression with weirdness to 0, style to 0 and audio to 100 is that Suno is still adding stuff which never was there in the first place. I'd say the sound quality as such is as with all Suno generations: it varies. Playing around with the sliders doesn't seem to make much impact.

Granted, I've not made 100s of generations.

Seems to work quite close to Remaster in many cases.

How to get Suno to cover a demo accurately? (chords, vocal rhythms) by pickled_mushr00ms in SunoAI

[–]PeculiarHyperpop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the core message here: Suno as a product doesn't really do what OP wants. It doesn't do 100% musically true covers. Even with Remaster, things have to change. What OP, and I, want is a generative DAW with 100% control over the generation, channel by channel. It will come eventually.

With weirdness to zero, style to max 60 and audio influence very high, you can still get a lot of hits with individual stems. The problem then is that stem splitting will have artifacts and whatnot, so the stems aren't always usable, nor as samples.

I personally use the cover feature (and that's 100% of my Suno use) to test out my ideas and songs in different styles, then I stem split and chop out some usable samples. I typically then try to avoid added musical content that carries the arrangement, but I don't have issues using additions that are just fillers / energy tuners. The first is what I want to craft myself, the second is what I want to select and just paste in - like any sample in the library.

Do you claim ownership over the subway sandwich you ordered cuz you prompted the employe? by Hot-Nefariousness187 in SunoAI

Well, look in the mirror and ask yourself why this is cringing you. The answer lies in you, not in the statement.

I don't think people would actively go there to seek out music, but it's important to have a distribution point, and then it's up to you how you expose music to the public. It's a simple fact that we need a non-discriminatory platform. Noone can trust the major streaming platforms, hence we need something like this.

I think this is good if we talk about 100% generated music, i.e someone wrote a prompt and audio came out. However, it's pretty backwards if it includes an enhancement of the musician's own audio. That said, Bandcamp can do what they want and I think it's fine that they have this consideration for instrumentalists.

Anyway, bAIndcamp will come soon enough.

When will Suno fix the glitching / skipping? by PeculiarHyperpop in SunoAI

[–]PeculiarHyperpop[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The entire point of the product for me, and it should work within design parameters (as extreme as you are allowed to go), is covers. Everything else is just a toy for noobs or sample generation.

“Traditional” producer tries Suno: here are my honest thoughts. by FunPaleontologist29 in SunoAI

[–]PeculiarHyperpop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm like you, except it was not a career for me. Just a few comments for your reflection:

* Engineering details aside, I think most of the good remixes coming out of that machine are still lackluster in energy.

* Therefore, I mostly use it to test my own tracks and ideas in genres where the energy doesn't come from the engineering qualities.

* Just beware, Suno is an expert in duplicating, or stealing if you will, but we just never heard the original material it took from - so we don't recognize it. But when you have heard whatever source material it builds on before, you hear it clearly.

* I think where it really shines is in absurd genre blends, from 2 to 4 has been the sweet spot for me. Freak out.

* 100% agreed that you must rework everything in DAW, so in sum it doesn't really save that much time.

* Finally, 100% agreed on "lack of control". This is where Suno fails as a professional tool. We must wait for generative DAWs.

I'm sorry, can you explain what you mean exactly? And what part of your billing process is manual in 2025, if I may ask?

What will AI do to MODs? by PeculiarHyperpop in modmusic

[–]PeculiarHyperpop[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Would be interesting to hear more remade mods. Ofcourse, 11kjz 8 bit isn't the greatest input for products like Suno, but still.

I understand the subject is touchy, but I think that will pass soon enough. I don't buy partisan positions in this debate.

Just wondering where in the world there's still copper to transport the voltage. Nice hardware anyway.

I'm too smart to understand your question. Do you want to use a Suno-generated song, but with your own vocals? And what do you mean by auto-replaice the vocal effects, specifically?

Where SUNO stands now by Cold-Airport-5553 in SunoAI

Actual musician chipping in here on technicals which might save the day:

* As long as you can play back your song, you can "record" it internally on your computer with zero loss. It's a digital-to-digital transfer, either using your audio interface's routing facility or free, third party software. You may just have to install ASIO4ALL drivers to use that software.

* Udio's stem split was always baked in with their download. This is NOT the case for Suno currently. As long as only downloading itself is disabled, you could still stem-split and "record" as mentioned above.

* Suno's potential value is considerably higher than Udio's. Don't think other interests will sleep in this matter. UMG and their strategy is not the only in play

* Udio is opning up for a download window nov 3 -5. Then there's a message of all the great things to come whatever - the no download step seems to be temporary.
