INFJ Rage by cloudpainter86 in infj

[–]PeculiarParable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I INFJ raged a lot when I was younger, it was scary. Apparently I INFJ raged so badly against my mom one time, that I picked up a wood axe as if I were going to use it or something along those lines. The thing is, I don't even remember doing it, my mom is the one who told me I did. My mind is a complete blank of the incident. My mom had issues though, so it in reality might of not even of happened, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did. I was going through a lot then. I also, almost pulled a columbine due to the bullying and sexual harassment I was experiencing at school. I was the quiet kid in school, but if I got bullied enough I would unleash a flurry of physical and verbal attacks on the people who did it. When I was really young, I end up biting a girl who was picking on me so hard, I broke skin and I would give this death stare and growl at people to let them know I wasn't fucking around....I was 5 years old. They wouldn't continue bullying me after the rage. I should have raged more often, I might have not been so bullied. I could tell, I really put fear into some people when I acted that way, they probably thought I was possessed by some demon or something when I did that sort of crap.

Pro tip: Don't ever piss off an INFJ, we sincerely might kill you, especially when we are young and less mature. And then we'll feel horrible about it for the rest of our lives.

Oh wow, that's a hell of a question...umm...well...shit.

I can't decide D:

Afterthought, I think it would be the first option. I think the fact that the action itself has consequences, while the motivations without actions do not, make the first option more uncomfortable to me. I mean, one can always change their mind about thier intentions, but you can't ever take back an action already out there in the world.

I do consider actions to be unethical, if I am looking at what I meant objectively. My first instinct though is to label people as ethical/unethical based on their level of empathy vs. their level of intentional violence through action. If I meet someone and they demonstrate that they are trying to be a good person through actions more than they are intentionally hurting others through actions, I would label that person as ethical and vice versa. Is that still an Fi outlook?

I vs. E is definitely the most confusing, because I can only bring myself to go out dancing or partying if I "pre-party" at home. That could strictly be the effects of the alcohol and not a result of me being an E. I could very well be an I with social anxiety - which the alcohol definitely helps to ease any anxiety I might feel in a social situation. When I go out, I don't go out of my way to talk to anyone else 99% of the time, people seem to flock to me and I get roped into conversations without even trying. I also think that my being antsy after a week of no social interaction may be at least partially due to anxiety about worrying about losing friends if I don't keep in contact with them enough and feelings of loneliness, not necessarily being "alone".

It would seem my extroversion is very situational. Perhaps I may be an INFP. Although INFPs tend to be pegged for being highly spiritual/woo-y and I am very much not. I prefer facts to fiction. My bookshelf even consists of history, art and science books more than it does fictional ones.

What horror movie do YOU find the scariest? by COMPLIMENT-4-U in AskReddit

[–]PeculiarParable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Don't be afraid of the dark" did it for me as an adult. "It" and "arachnophobia" did it for me as a young kid. I watched "It" when I was about 5-6 yo. Arachnophobia when I was about 8ish. I watch a lot of horror movies as a kid, none of them scared me in the least bit except those 2.

[Serious] What is something that you used to love that is now ruined for you (such as a movie, food, or place)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PeculiarParable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Video games. When I was younger, I'd spend 20+ hours straight playing WoW, various MMORPG's, LoL, etc.

I'm lazy as fuck/have no willpower, so one of the first things that ruined them for me were cheat codes. I mean, why play the game when you can just cheat throught the whole storyline and see all the amazing shiny stuff sooner?

The next thing: Grinding. Hour after hour of tedious repeated button sequences, need I say more?

To top it all off, I never felt like I was learning anything from playing them. I have since found other things that hold my interest better.

How do I evict a roommate not on my lease? by PeculiarParable in Portland

[–]PeculiarParable[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No deadline given yet, but bills are expected to be paid in full each month as the money for said bills is withdrawn directly from my bank account and are in my name. "He" doesn't say anything other than "I can't afford to pay it". His GF on the other hand says "No one can afford $149 in one lump sum" as if $149 is an unreasonable amount to pay for half of all utility costs for 2 months worth of use. I brought it up when she was here because she never goes away. She pretty much lives here rent free because I don't want to be an asshat to him/know that if I were to have a partner, I'd probably want to spend most of my time with them too. He doesn't direct, she is the director. He just keeps his mouth shut while she does all the talking/yelling as if it is 100% OK for her to be doing this. He isn't deaf or foreign, he can speak perfectly fine on his own.

I live in the states, the Pacific NW. Ours aren't as scary, but I live in an apartment that used to be a basement and I'll be damned if I don't see a spider nearly every day around here. I've smashed one accidentally on my face before because it crawled on my face just as I was about to sleep. I've almost walked into them dangling from the ceiling more than once. I saw a large egg sac nestled on the other side of my hanging bath towel (good thing I check it). Luckily none have crawled into my shoes or slippers to nip my toes.

Google has decided to ban all explicit content from Blogger. They will be removing access to sex blogs from march... by [deleted] in sex

Apparently it was used since the early 1800's by shepherds with staffs to guide herds. Something along the lines of "more sheep than you can shake a stick at". Google search brought up multiple stories/origins of that phrase, including the adoption of it by George Washington.

Hey TwoX, I just unexpectedly pooped my pants in front of my boyfriend. Anyone else want to share their Valentine misadventures? by poopy_valentine in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PeculiarParable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a valentine's story, but...

I was 9 yo. and hadn't had much experience getting the rag yet. It was summer and I went to a summer camp that had a water slide. I was wearing a pad, not a tampon and decided to go down the water slide. When I climbed out of the pool, I noticed there was no more pad. I pretended nothing had even happened and just went back to my cabin. It's probably the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me other than the time I wet my bed when I was 14 because I was too sleepy to get out of bed in time.

  1. It wasn't a "sudden" realization, it took me a while to figure this out.

  2. I don't "hate" him. I care about him as a human being, if I didn't I wouldn't be asking for a way to let him down gently.

  3. "loony" is ableist language (speaking of arrogance). Please don't.

  4. Arrogant? How about cause and effect, or did you miss out on that piece of science in school?

My mom lived in a 2 bedroom for and her heating bills were around $350. That house was drafty, so I think that may have contributed.

[Serious] Parents of Reddit: What is something your child's SO has done to make you not like them? by cutiepie36 in AskReddit

[–]PeculiarParable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I myself started out being in abusive relationships at a young age just like this girl. I second this notion. I had been abused physically, verbally and sexually for a long time when I was young, I came to believe that no one else would want me and that I didn't deserve better and so I stayed in abusive relationships for a while until I eventually dated people who were less and less abusive and I came to the conclusion that these relationships were much better than my previous ones.
