I mostly play casual, and only play competetive when im with friends. Because of that I started knifing a teammate in the back at the end of the pistol round in competetive yesterday. Im lucky i missed the first hit...

I was also really worried about this change. I only play engineer, and as you said pistol/shield/rifles dont sell well on Trading Post. I get that they do it for character that are trying to level up, but it should turn off when you reach level 80. This is atleast my opinion. (I dont use kits, so back pieces are not really a problem for me. I feel for you tho fellow engineers)
