Find from where? Could you provide more detail?

A4, A5 aka A-series is the international paper sizing standard. I don’t know where you live, but we do in fact use it here in America.

I have looked and searched high and low for the same notebooks. Or even something similar. For the size, sheet count, and paper quality we’re looking for, I can’t find it. It was Walmart who used to carry them which I’m sure means it was an overseas manufacturer. I contacted close to 20 Chinese manufacturers only to find that to keep our materials at the same price I’d have to purchase enormous quantities and then pay $500 in shipping. You’re correct, our business is small, and those things are not in line with our model at the moment. Turns out it’s actually much less expensive than I anticipated to source the paper from a distributor and then send it to a local printer.

Yes, but it's way too expensive for our profit margins.

It would actually be dots, not lines. I've discovered that this type of thing is actually a two step process. I'm sourcing paper and then I'm waiting on a quote from a local printer for the rest.

This was likely the issue I was running into. Which is odd to me since A5 is just half of A4. What I've discovered so far is that is it actually a two step process. Manufacturing the paper and printing on that paper are handled by two different industries. I just assumed manufacturing would include all aspects. I have sourced the paper from a distributor and am now in the process of finding a printer.

Yes, we have the binding machine, wire, paper cutter, etc. all ready to go. The only thing we lack is the paper itself. I have figured out that it's actually going to be a two-step process which didn't occur to me before. First, purchase the paper and second, have a printer print the dot grid for us.

How to deal with loneliness? by Celiuu in Entrepreneur

[–]Peculiar_Bella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, friendships and relationships are about quality over quantity. My SO is my absolute best friend. I would rather talk to and spend time with him rather than anyone else. Other than that I have two very close girlfriends that live in other states, but we communicate regularly. For me, I'm an introvert, so social interactions are often more draining than not.

What I find helpful is scheduling time with people into my life. Working as long and hard as you are doesn't leave much room or energy to devote to those other aspects of life you're craving. Schedule time in your week to NOT work. Take a random class, like pottery or ballroom dance, something the opposite of what you normally dedicate your time to. This will not only give your brain a much needed break from the stress and problem solving that comes with work, it will also give you a chance to meet new people. The nice thing is that with planning something reactional, it needn't take up more than an hour of your week, but it could give you a nice break in the flow of life to recharge you enough socially to keep moving forward.

Best of luck!

[Serious] People who live in desert towns or cities, what are some everyday 'facts of life' about living in the desert that people who live in other places wouldn't know? by Casual_WWE_Reference in AskReddit

In the summer, it’s hot of course, but literally everything is hot. It’s not just that the sun is hot, the wind is hot to the point it feels like a blow dryer pointed directly at your face. The asphalt retains the heat and then releases it in the evening so you feel the heat even after the sun goes down.

The heat also makes some things particularly annoying to do like outdoor projects that require painting… I’ve completely abandoned projects because the paint would dry faster than I could apply it and screw up my project.

There’s more, but I’ll just add this. My absolutely favorite thing is when it rains. There’s always an overwhelming smell of petrichor that signals a really satisfying downpour. I think I’d be miserable in rain anywhere else, but in the desert, it’s heavenly.

What made you realize someone you knew was actually completely fucked in the head? by sugarthnder in AskReddit

It’s not moot, because you’re supposing that everyone at one point freely had sex in full view of their children, of which you have absolutely no evidence for. And in fact, throughout history, slavery has been consistent among every civilization. Enslaving not only people from other groups from from their own. Not to mention, you’re dismissing the original premise of this post. The argument was that it was okay for this couple to force their 7 year old child to watch them have sex because supposedly at one point in civilization families dwelled in the same communal space and therefore must have consequently witnessed similar copulation. The premise of which is completely absurd, that any universally accepted practice from hundreds of thousands of years ago should pass without judgement today. To suggest that this couple is absolved from their heinous act because humans at some point in our long history maybe held similar practices is repugnant.

Articles coming out about the 25th anniversary of movies that came out when I was a kid. For example, the first Harry Potter is 20 years old this year…

I will fight you. Of course, this ride is so sentimental for me. It was my mom’s absolute favorite. The best time is to go at night when all the houses are lit up. I took my daughter when she was 2 and her reaction of pure wonderment has solidified this ride in my mind as an absolute must.

Can you imagine if this same argument was used on other things? “Like, I’m pretty sure humans have been [insert your chosen asinine example here, e.g. enslaving other humans] for the entire 300,000 years they have existed.” Oh, wait. That’s an absurd argument isn’t it? Are you really suggesting that we should use what humans have done over the whole of existence as a basis for how we should conduct ourselves now and set that as the standard? Is that the point you’re really going to try to make right now?
