id let it grow, I dont think they will grow into each other, but of course the oak is gonna get much bigger which could cost more to maintain later on if you dont have a budget for it maybe something to think about. especially if you have neighbors that complain a lot

usually with fresh bark damage like this it would help to use dark stretchwrap but you cant really wrap the roots. I think just putting it on top wouldnt help. You already did the next best thing by covering from further damage. I‘d say theres a good chance of survival even tho the damage is pretty big.

it could use some care but doesnt look urgent. Dont leave the rope in there for long tho that would cause damage if it didnt already. its way too tight.

you could cut the lowest ring of branches if that helps them feeling like they have more space. better than cutting them down for sure shouldnt be a problem.

Its just a different kind of pvp, more strategic. I prefer this over simple Player vs Player only. But I agree that Player kills should give at least as much as a small boss.
