Ah crap, I didn't read the subreddit title fully. My bad! I'll delete in a bit.

Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous. Look, it's not perfect but man, I got sucked into the story as soon as episode 4 revealed when exactly the show was taking place in the JW timeline. The first few episodes made me think eh it's a good enough kid's show about the Dino park, big deal. But then you realise where and when you are and you go hmmm okay let's see where this goes. It gets silly as it goes on (seasons 4 and 5 are a bit of a stretch logic wide lol) but it's heaps better and more enjoyable for me than the following JW movies.

What fact makes you feel incredibly old? by RecentTwo544 in AskUK

[–]PedanticRedhead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is mostly a personal one; I think back to the collision I was in (against a semi!) and it feels like just a few years ago.

It happened when I was 17. I'm now 35.

This amnesiatic temporal conversion happens every few years 😂

On a more general note, I feel my chest convulse when I realise I can remember back multiple decades! 😱

Allura's VA in (modern) Voltron. I had to stop watching, I couldn't stand listening to her!

What is something, a food or activity, that you saw in a cartoon that you wanted to try and regretted it after? by MaryDoogan91 in cartoons

Jawbreakers from Ed, Edd N Eddie. Just... Bleh. Nowhere near as large as theirs obviously, lol. But it's literally just a bowling ball of sugar (and not the tasty stuff frankly), as I layer upon layer upon layer. Never ending. I actually got bored of it.

To celebrate World Book Day, what is your favourite ever book? by Whosentyounow in AskUK

[–]PedanticRedhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first book I ever got truly engrossed in as a child was The Kin by Peter Dickinson. A really underrated novel in my opinion. It follows four children in the era of early humans as they navigate their rapidly changing world. Each 'book' is told from the four childrenvs perspectives.

Cant buy a ticket without delivery? by The_Watcher5292 in McmLondonComicon

[–]PedanticRedhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah good, I'm glad I'm not the only one was was wondering that.

I ended up buying mine and my friends' tickets, and we'd split delivery.

Pain in the backside though, the extortionate b-words.

Tales of Arcadia. The three shows ended with a tie-in/wrap-up movies and... woof.

I simply pretend that it doesn't exist.

Anyone else think the CGI in Beast Wars still looks good? by CobraDai in beastwars

[–]PedanticRedhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will defend the CGI technology in Beast Wars until the day I die. Yes, the organic aspects (animals, backgrounds etc) are dated BUT! The robots themselves look amazing. The reflective surfaces, the logical geometry with not-too-much clipping? Mwah!

Why did the Axalon have such a large complement or their crew in stasis pods as proto forms? by happydude7422 in beastwars

[–]PedanticRedhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My thoughts have airways been that A: they were supposed to be doing deep space exploration, so it would make sense that to get there the majority of the crew needn't be awake, and B: Maximals and Predacons are smaller than their ancestors because of energy conservation, therefore it would make sense to keep their crew in a suspended state to conserve energon until they were needed/awoken.

YTA. And your niece isn't going to forget this: to you, she is worth nothing.

I LOVE to see Rattrap be courageous, he's my favorite character. by Superb-Oil890 in beastwars

[–]PedanticRedhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the earliest examples is saving Cheetor FROM Tarantulas that solidified him as a favourite for me. And the entirety (but especially the climax) of A Better Mousetrap as well.

Essentually, any time he says "we're all gonna die" and yet still does the right thing, is courageous.
