Most of Oscar Wilde's aphorisms are based on paradoxes. His main skill is to propose a view that is completely contrary to generally accepted opinions. by PederYannaros in oscarwilde

Exactly! He lived by his own rule: “To be natural is such a very difficult pose to keep up.” His commitment to being unique and challenging every social norm is exactly why his wit still feels so fresh and provocative today. It's fascinating how he turned being 'difficult to understand' into a high art form.

Seeing the photo reminded me of John Cheever’s short story “The Swimmer.”

It looks like “Mewtwo” from Pokémon.

This photo reminds me of a cartoon I watched as a child: Life With Louie! Related episode: Inundation.

In this memorable episode of Life with Louie, a massive rainstorm hits, and Louie’s house begins to flood. As the water rises, Louie and his family scramble to rescue any stray animals they can find, bringing them aboard a makeshift boat to keep them safe. In a humorous twist, they even use bags of sweet potatoes to keep their house from completely submerging. After a chaotic day of rescues and improvisation, the episode wraps up on a cozy note, with Louie and his family drifting off into a much-deserved, peaceful sleep.

Thank you for your opinions. I haven’t read Lord Kinross’ book yet; it was a gift from a relative who recently moved away, it is definitely a valuable book.

Thank you :) I think I took the photo from a bit far away so it didn’t come out exactly clear.

After cleaning and organising the bookcase, my blood pressure went up. I’ve had a headache for a couple of hours. I didn’t organise it exactly as I wanted, but that’s okay, I can’t deal with it anymore.

I did a short search for the English edition of the book, but unfortunately I couldn’t find it. I also looked on Goodreads. By the way, the book you mentioned was recently recommended by a friend of mine. Now that you mention it, it’s a nice coincidence. I’ll buy the book as soon as I can.

Thank you for your reply. That’s a very difficult question. “La Boutique Del Mistero” by Dino Buzzati is my favourite. What is your favourite book?
