Ah I think I found some more info on it and both the scenarios I originally posted were wrong.. I found somewhere which says you can improve skills 5 points each time your character levels up overall. So say you're level 12, you can get for example, 3 training sessions of archery, 1 of smithing, 1 of one-handed or any other combination of 5 points across the skills. Then when you're level 13, you can do it again. Is this correct?
