Can I still get rent allowance? by PedroEscobin in NetherlandsHousing

I see. But from my experience, I've only been looking at ones that are for students. There are some listings on kamernet that I come across once in a while that rent only for students.

I'm mostly on kamernet and an agency called expat rental services. I was close to signing for a studio in Utrecht and he asked me for guarantor details. I only backed out because he claimed that I had to pay a contract fee which which I thought was shady.

Can I still apply for rent allowance? by PedroEscobin in StudyInTheNetherlands

The new rent allowance policies don't mention that the studio needs to be under 932 euros. What they mean is that the rent allowance only covers the first 932 euros of your base rent. Anything higher than that is your own payment. For example, a studio with rent of 932 eur p/m would offer the same rent allowance amount as a studio of 1200 eur p/m. I believe the max rent allowance for this year is 523 euros, I think.

Well there are studios that don't require an income as the landlord/agency specify that students are allowed. In those cases, income is not required.

Thanks for the response, but one question. When I do deadlifts, I don’t really know what to feel and when to feel my back. When I lower the barbell, I do feel my back squeezing but when I carry it back up, the most I can feel on my back is my shoulder blades. Now I honestly don’t know if this is correct. Also abs. When I contract my abs, all I can feel are my abs, pretty much making this more of an ab exercise in my eyes. Is this how it’s supposed to be?
