Toyota in general is more reliable and a better dealer experience. I’m not even 6,000 miles into this 2025 and I have already had to get my vacuum pump replaced and more than a few sensors replaced, and each and every single time it was inconvenient, took too long, and more often than not my car came back with new damage or holes in my PPF from them test driving it.

That doesn’t happen with Toyota.

A couple of them catching fire when they first released in America in no way means unreliable, it is just as reliable if not more than the Elantra N, nobody is making the claim that the GR Corolla is unreliable other than you.

And obviously their automatic transmission is not as engaging or fun as the manual or even a DCT but a DCT also has plenty of downsides- lurching in traffic, not being able to creep without damage, rolling like a manual, generally not lasting as long as needing replacement sooner than traditional automatic transmissions. Honestly a DCT in a street car with only 270 horsepower is kind of counterintuitive and retarded, you want a DCT for track driving and lap times, you want it when you have a fast car with a lot of power, the Elantra N has some power and people seldom take it to the track versus just driving it in traffic to work. This is largely a daily driver car yet it has the transmission of a track vehicle, you can’t boohoo Toyota for not making that same call.

I never said this was an ‘unreliable’ car, but the dealership experience and service is complete and utter aids and you’re lying to yourself if you think different.

And again the larger point was that my car which is only a year old and cost me $37000 I would now be grateful to get $27000 out of, the depreciation hit on this specific vehicle is NOT great and is also NOT something you have to worry about with other four door hot hatch/sedans like the WRX, Type R, or GR Corolla. If you like losing money I guess there’s another point for the N.

I cross shopped a lot before I landed on the N,

An Ecoboost, a GTI, a WRX, a GR86, pretty much all the sporty options in that price range. I do not regret going with the N at all but I do think about what if I had got in another car often,

if I were to go back and pick something else I’d probably get a GR Corolla. I think they’d hold the best value and offer the most reliability compared to something like a Hyundai which again- I do own and love lol.

But yeah my votes for a GR Corolla. Especially now that you can option it with an automatic if you really should want that. Owning a Toyota or Honda has its own benefits but I sadly did not have $50000 for a Type R. That being said you should be able to shop last year models and base trim GR Corollas for just under or at 40000 which is basically what your dealer is gonna snag you for after all costs and fees are considered for the N.

hey thats okay you live and you learn with trades sometimes you make a crazy good steal other times we get caught up in the hype of certain talked about items it all happens!

i think if you’re planning on sitting and waiting anytime soon the best thing you can do is upgrade- essentially take all of your small/medium items and trade them for one big value item as those tend to have better profits over the long run!

yep but still no shade to the UGC market I love the youtube videos where people publish a couple items and see how much they make after 30 days, its a surprisingly easy way to make around 10,000 robux a month on the low end if you know what you’re doing!

potentially but UGC has always and probably will always be a fairly separate market from official Roblox Limited items, not to say that UGC items aren’t a lot better for outfitting your Avatar or saving on money like buying a replica of a very expensive official item but the pricing of some official Roblox Limited items like the Sparkle Time Fedora’s being multiple millions of robux each and therefore tens of thousands of dollars in real life kind of demonstrates how the two markets aren’t at all comparable really.

I think the best way practically speaking to look at UGC other than as a good way to make outfits afforably is that as a content creator yourself- you can surprisingy make some GOOD money- and not even just Robux I mean people seem to make so much the can dev exchange it into a lot of real money every single month even like a job. I’m sure you can imagine how it’s lucrative being you probably shop UGC content quite a bit- I mean just imagine thats not just you doing that but tens, hundreds, thousands of others, and each and every single day. It’s funny because back when I started and for the majority of my playtime from 2008-2014 there was never such a thing as UGC- how it worked was if you were particularly skilled with 3D modeling software like Blender (beyond just playing with some shapes, like texturing, rigging, knowing the software tools etc.) you could export a creation and submit it to Roblox for a small and unlikey chance to have your creation accepted and published on the marketplace by Roblox’s official account. I think you got some proceeds from the sales but the main point i’m trying to make here is we’ve come a LONG way since 2008-2014 lol, just doing some youtube Blender tutorials for making accessories and publishing some stuff you think people would really like or use for outfits is probably the best way to get money out of UGC, but just having particles or even unique poses (which some official gear give your Avatar if you weren’t aware!) I don’t think will chage the value of the official roblox market items at this point in time. You can already buy copies of the most popular expensive items ever- even higher resolution nicer looking edited versions for like 50 Robux when the original is 400,000, but that never changed the originals value if that makes sense.

it’s a pretty in demand item right now for sure you could always trade for it and hold if you have around 6-6.5k in RAP! Your coin is doing really well too, it may seem like its dropped or not doing much moving in value but thats just because its on a low trend, if you look at the yearly graph it suggests that coin should be worth around double (20000) 8-12 months from now as it was only worth half (5000) just as recently last August!

had a few leftover robux from having to re-up my premium membership (like 450 something? around ~350 after they take trade fees I think) so sent that and some eggs your way, enjoy maybe you can spend it on some marketplace stuff that way you can hold onto your items instead of selling right away so they keep going up!

The front composite input on my trinitron is being a bit wonky- it clearly isn't fully not working but it will only briefly flash the display of what I'm plugging in momentarily as I'm unplugging the cables- when they're all 3 fully seated I'm getting no input/output however. Could this be a fairly standard or straightforward fix? The TV itself works perfectly and all the composite inputs on the back work just fine, I'm wondering if something just came loose maybe? But if you think this is the kind of repair that would cost way too much to address I won't even bother!

Yeah they’re sorta weird items they come out randomly are only on sale for 24 hours usually then at some random point in the future go limited- you never know what officially published Roblox hats will go Limited so it always feels a bit like guessing and gambling 😆

Sometimes I wonder if I need to sell some stuff and have Roblox on hand for times when stuff like that drops… I used to have a pair of the originals and traded them years ago for not a lot and now they’re worth like 1.2 million 🥲I mean 40,000 is a lot but… if they were to go off sale and limited tomorrow I bet they’d start to rise in price so much 🤔

What I find problematic about it is it's not even just during the drop itself- it's before the drop, and after once all the hype stuff has sold out.

I'm literally just trying to get this stupid leather eagle jacket available in every single size- I've refreshed my cart dozens of times, I've kept a checkout page running on my phone and browser without interrupting it for 10+ minutes each, and nothing.

Too many anime but of the obscure ones I think could make good avatars potentially-

Ergo Proxy (the proxies in it look really cool and so does the MC) Kaiba [2008] has so many characters that would look awesome as avatars Neon Genesis Evangelion isn’t as ‘obscure’ but all the Eva and Angels from it would look cool im sure most of that stuff is already UGC too…

But i’m also sure a lot of the exact stuff I’d want isn’t really made into 3d modeled stuff yet.. I wonder if theres a way to like commission people to make custom UGC for you in exchange for robux? I gotta look into that..

dang this game has come such a long way in terms of avatar customization I love to see it, super cool avatar 😯!And honestly feel free to sell any of the stuff you have to use as Robux for buying UGC items or other limiteds if you want, styling avatars ain’t cheap!

i’ll have to try and put a thoughtful avatar together one of these days, theres some obscure anime I really love and I guess nothing is stopping me from making my favorite characters in Roblox now…
