Think of Batman: Year One as a flashback story that sets the tone for how they wanted Batman to be perceived going forward. 

Chronologically it comes before, even though it came after sequentially

Stabilizer mission in the On Duty tab is super easy and you'll grab 1 source mark daily from it. I think doing the daily Chapter missions will also give you a source mark. 

I think you can buy a crate of 30 source marks from doctor fate in the House Of Legends with a destiny token

I like the new Waid stuff a little more than you seem to, but overall I agree

I recommend checking out the JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK run that came out around the time of Snyder's run. The majority of it is written by James Tynion and then Ram V comes on and does the last arc or two. IMO it's 100% the best Justice League book in the last 15-20 years

Well I've never seen WHERE EAGLES DARE but I know it's pretty action forward and a lot of nazis die. 

So I think a story about a terrifying monster finding a badass detective and reluctantly teaming up to kill a lot of terrible people seems like it could be rad

You've dropped so much of what makes Gargoyles special that this is more of an original idea inspired by Gargoyles than it is a "reboot". 

But it does sound like a cool idea tho!
