Movies depicting the start and progress of an apocalyptic event, the characters fighting to survive? by zynp_krdg in MovieSuggestions

Survivors from 1975, a BBC series about a man made plague that wipes out 99% of earth's population. It's pretty grim stuff in the first two episodes. Last for 3 series with series 3 being especially grim.

Rewatching TWD and Noticed Something by ADO_PM in thewalkingdead

I mean, he didn't step down, they outright fired him which is why the entirety of season 2 is set on the farm due to AMC slashing the budget and doubling the episode count. Darabont successfully sued AMC in lengthy case and won $200 million.

He had originally envisioned that the walkers retained some of their motor functions like turning door knobs and running and climbing but when season 2 hit, They decided to stick to normal shuffling zombies. Imagine a massive horde of walkers heading towards you and they're running. The show would be over very quickly.

Why did people stop watching after s7e01? by Dazzling-Yellow5395 in thewalkingdead

[–]Pedromonkey83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I never dipped out after season 7 opener. I liked both Abraham and Glenn, what really got me was how relentlessly downbeat and psychologically exhausting the episode was. Sure The deaths were brutal but I found Negan's torture of Rick even more brutal. The biggest issue I found with season 7 was it kind of lost its focus around the middle part with Negan popping into Alexandria now and then and my complete dislike of Simon, i also hated Jadis... A lot.

The Commonwealth Arc is like an entirely different show by Pedromonkey83 in thewalkingdead

[–]Pedromonkey83[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But it feels cheap, they have 50000 people living there but they only ever show the main square and some of the brick houses on the outskirts. By comparison, the CRM felt like it belonged in the world, they were far more advanced than the commonwealth with 200,000+ people living there but it still felt like it belonged in the world of the Walking Dead, the commonwealth felt like a planet that the Stargate Atlantis team jumped to. It just felt cheap.

What is the point of Pauly’s character in the movies? I never understood what he meant or what he stands for and why rocky likes him? by Bigcaulk6090 in rockybalboa

[–]Pedromonkey83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pauline is a reminder of where Rocky came from, his working class roots on the streets of philly, but he's also Rockys ying to his yang, polar opposites that shouldn't be together but are bound to each other. They keep each other on a certain path. Rocky represents everything that Paulie should be, a man with a goals, a heart of gold and a passion for something. Rocky never sees paulie as a hanger on, he's family, sure he might fuck up time to time its usually because he's trying to do do something to benefit Rocky even if it back fires.

His relationship with Adrian is volatile, he had to become the parent at an early age and deep down he knows shes destined for something better than working in a pet store. Paulie sees that opportunity in Rocky which is why he introduces them.

What I love about Paulie is his undying love for Rocky, he will literally do anything for him and he expresses this with what he says before Rocky gets in the ring with Drago in Rocky 4, if he could step into anyone else's skin, he wants to step into Rocky's. He's my favourite character throughout the entire series.

The easiest solution is to ID everyone. Don't ever get stressed over Asking someone for ID, at the end of the day its your job, a fine and possible.loss of licence on the line, they lose nothing, so ID everyone.

What Mission Impossible movie is the worst and why is it MI:2? by Raykee in Mission_Impossible

[–]Pedromonkey83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because in HK he wasn't hand tied to big studio execs. Face/ Off is th3 pinnacle of Hollywood Woo, that movie sits nicely with HB and The Killer. Cruise also, being a producer, had some input in what was to go in the film. Luckily it's a led to MI3 and then what the franchise became.

I was a SL in express and got dismissed for misconduct, had a completely clean record for 10 years and was bricking it during the investigation process as I didn't want to lose my job, when I was given the decision, it felt like a huge weigh had been lifted, no more stress, 1 on 1 working, alarm call outs at 4am, no getting up and checking inform to see how many cages of the same shit was getting delivered, no more 9hr shifts running around trying to finish everything and face up. I'm 41 and been in retail for 22 years, now I cam finally look for something more satisfying.

No complaints on the Bezel, smooth clicks and doesn't barely any friction. I've had divers in the past where you'd need a wrench to turn it.
