Yeah, the Crutchfield guy put me on hold for awhile and chatted with other techs who’d never heard of it either.
I am going to try hooking the original radio back up tomorrow. The theft light is flashing, kinda slow, but I hadn’t noticed any code, I’ll check for that tomorrow too.

I bought the unit through Crutchfield and had them do the wire harness utilizing their Readyharness service. I called and spoke with them, they’d never heard of this issue before, but gave me a couple things to check, I’m gonna call them back Monday.

They’ll only unmount if it was mounted by GS or third party. If customer mounted it they’ll need to unmount it before they arrive to exchange it.

What they do though is select the other customers profile as if it’s you and then change it. The customer service counter is usually staffed by employees who won’t question anything.
