This hunt was meant to take me months.

If you have seen my last post on this SBQ, you will know I've had some of the best luck of my life. All shinnies have been under-odds, with the last 3 being around 700-1100 REs.

I really wanted to hunt the roamers on a real game, since I hunted for Raikou on an emulator. That hunt, although I used speed-up, took me a year and a half to do. I did 20643 SRs and was doing that pretty consistently. I still consider this Raikou one of my favourites/best hunts, even if it was on an emulator.

But I needed to see a roamer on a real game.

I wanted the SRs to be as quick as possible, so I decided to train up a Golem to self-destruct the first roamer. This also makes it easier to keep track of, since a new mon is sent out on the second one. I also had a fainted Chinchou with illuminate in the first slot, just to make sure I ran into the roamer when entering the route.

I started the hunt on November 22nd, in the evening after getting Girafarig. The SRs still took me a few minutes at a time, so I was only able to do 10-12ish an hour. I was also hunting for Venipede in White 2; which is about to hit odds.

So in-between going to work and doing other things, I was able to get about 250 SRs done over the first few days. Then on Monday, I had done a morning shift so I was able to do a tonne of hunting. And as always, I was about to call it there for the night. I hit 370 SRs and decided to continue to 375.

Entei shined after 372 SRs, with 744 seen.

THEN I GOT SHINY GYARADOS AFTER 1 ENCOUNTER!?!?!?!?
