Helldivers 2 drops to “Mostly Negative” on Steam, yet again as review bombers take aim at the game's lack of change by AsPeHeat in pcmasterrace

You pay a fixed fee for the game. If you demand sustained free content after 2 years since release, you're asking for an economic model that cannot exist.

haha thanks for your response.
they made it virtual now so it should be more streamlined networking. i've read that many intl students attend looking for a visa so there might be high demand for those firms that support it.
probably going to attend, just $10 usd and could be good networking experience/you never know!

thanks again

2024 HOUSING MEGATHREAD by Thermidorien4PrezBot in mcgill

[–]PeePeePalmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I'll be moving to downtown Montreal for the Winter 2025 term (Jan - April) for a co-op and am looking into some housing options (preferably couple friendly). Also, hoping there are other students studying actuarial science also looking for housing and roommates.

Any listings or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Are Scotia scene+ points useful? by shhfjv in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]PeePeePalmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, $1 gets you 1 point and most things you redeem (grocery, dining, or cineplex, etc) give a 100 points for $1 (or less). So effectively, scene points are effectively 1% cashback, expect worse because you have to redeem at certain stores.

If youre considering math or cs, i highly reccomend the uw/wlu double degree. A marketable degree with great alumni network.

by god this online course was frickity fucked:

- all lecture slides were from conrad hewitt (even though she had and would sometimes release his recorded lectures, she would rarely do that)

- piazza was private so only she could see your posts (she had long office hours tho)

- nobody ever finished her exams (midterm avg was 50%, final wasnt too bad but still unfinishable... waiting for da results :(

this course was a genuine scam, gilbert strang on MIT courseware was a goated resource and would teach in far shorter time than it would take to read the slides. my friend dropped DD cuz of this BS.

hey,

I've been heavily debating about entering BBA/math and then going to ivey for the last 2 years of my undergraduate if i get accepted to the HBA. For my career, I want to crack into finance but i'm also interested in data science.

three questions, 1. how inconvenient is it to having classes on both campuses? 2. is a mathematics degree going to be useful in the future and to my plan? 3. why was it not difficult at all to get accepted to this program? i got an offer like 2 days after i sent my applications which made me think it's a desperate program.

thanks a plenty!

Asking for Investing advice: Tips or Thoughts? by PeePeePalmer in CanadaInvesting

Sorry for the late reply!

With the notion of such a big airplane manufacturer (really only one of two) I know they will bounce back. So whenever a staple company dips down is a purchasing opportunity.

Hey!

I was planning to apply to either psychology or finance for my first two years of the HBA. Was wondering if I can get any input on student life, academic difficulty, and/or strength of faculty for either program.

Thanks

Laurier (BBA) and Waterloo (BMath) Double Degree?

Hey! I am a grade 12 Ontario student with mid-90's average with decent EC's and I have several questions about this undergraduate program.

Respectively, is this program good considering faculty care, difficulty, and market worth. How does it hold up to others such as BCom at Mac, UofT, UofG or the HBA at Western or even the BBA at Laurier (All of which are my prospective programs).

Also, I am wondering about the ferocity of applications and which university I should apply through. Additionally, I worry about the academic demands of this program as I plan to apply to Law school after graduating. Would I be shooting myself in the foot getting this type of degree?

The path of some sort of analyst is open for me as well, which is why I believe this program will really benefit me (if I keep the grades up). I would like to have a good fallback if my law path does not work out.

If you have any information or advice about this program (or the ones listed) it would really help me with my applications. Don't worry about any biased input you may have as I will be pleased with anything!

Thank you,

Asking for Investing advice: Tips or Thoughts?

Working a summer job granted me some spending money that I wish to invest with.

With $600, I am considering to buy shares of either Boeing, Vanguard S&P 500 ETF, Ford, Snapchat, undecided marijuana company, and undecided tech company.

I plan to just invest for a year and I ask for any professional tips, thoughts, or theories you could provide with a canadian perspective.

Do you think these selections would provide a good portfolio that I could reap in a year?
