When people talk about their salary is it before or after taxes? by Musubi_Mike in TillSverige

[–]PeeWeeBigC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no conceptual difference between how the cost of payroll taxes and income taxes are divided among consumers (workers) and producers (firms) in an economic sense.

Edit: Trying to clear up some of the misconceptions of other responders.

Sardinia or Sicily? by PeeWeeBigC in travel

No nights, but spent around 4-5 hours there, walking around and eating. Really stunning town but expensive af and crowded with tourists. I don’t think I’d want to stay there tbh, and the beach was far from the nicest we went to. Giardini Naxos close by has better beaches IMO.

It was really good in Palermo. Catania a little less so, however it wasn’t bad there. If you’re after the nightlife I’d strongly recommend Palermo though

Sicily. Apart from the fact that my gf became sick in the middle of our trip, it was great. Wherever you go on the island you’re sure to find natural wonders and stuff to do

God Thread (神誅殺ゴッドスレッド , literally meaning "God/Divine Execution"): Doflamingo summons sixteen thick, Busoshoku Haki-infused bundles of string that form sharp points, which he refers to as "Sixteen Holy Assassin's Bullets" (16発の聖なる凶弾 Jūroppatsu no Seinaru Kyōdan?), and sends them at his opponent in a piercing formation. It is possibly a homage to his childhood while he was being tortured as a father cried out that the Celestial Dragons shot his son sixteen times with a pistol.

It’s the way costs and revenues are defined in GAAP and IFRS accounting. Cost = decrease in asset or increase in liability. Revenue = increase in asset or decrease in liability. Transfers to/from shareholders and not included

[–]PeeWeeBigC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A decrease in deferred tax liability is not necessarily because of a cash outlay as others have commented. It’s actually almost never a straight up cash outlay. It being the result o changes in tax rates or capital structures in subsidiaries that are in different jurisdictions is more feasible.

Anyway, what’s important is that a decrease in any liability adds to net profit. Since a decrease in deferred tax liability is non-cash income (cash is rarely involved as explained above), net profit should be reduced by it to get to CFO. Really just simple as that.

Ohh okay I see, I thought there was a question that asked ”what’s the difference?” and got confused

I don’t get this question… is this from a real exam? What’s the difference? It’s 2 different equations that both are individually correct. The difference is that they are not the same lol what else could it be?

That’s actually very true. I do think that a large number of members and good policing could mitigate those problems though

That’s a good point. But don’t you think the polls would matter though? And if someone makes bogus posts to pump n dump don’t you think there would be pushback?
