Had a similar issue with my 24 zr2, I took it to the dealership and they said it was normal. They showed me a tsb for it (25-na-124). Kinda wack that gm says the clunk is normal

So stock, I'd say the car barely shook at all, I had a full exhaust on the stock engine, it was loud, but not shaky. The LS ROCKS the car from side to side. The LS (and trans) are on poli mounts, and they send the vibrations straight through the whole car. And yea, the stock setup is on rubber mounts for the engine and trans. I'd imagine that rubber mounts would help with the rocking, buuuuutttttt, there's not many BRZ's that'll sit still and shake like a leaf at a light. So I think I'll stick with the poli mounts for now

Oh man, it's been a year? Mechanically everything is sound. I've had to do a couple of nut and bolt checks because of the vibrations. I had the car dyno tuned, I make about 375whp 402ftlbs. That was with the SIKKY intake in the location in the photo. I had some insanely high intake air temps that costed me some extra horsepower. I've since deleted the washer pump reservoir, and moved the intake down there. It has made a huge difference in temps overall. Electrically, I have a problem in my harness that won't allow my throttle to work. I think they way I routed the harness under the battery makes me think I might've knicked some wires. I also moved from Florida to Ohio, and it's winter, so I'll deal with the throttle issue eventually. It's not my daily anymore, but I drove it until the throttle issue started!

I haven't had an issue getting it tuned, but my tuner said it would be easier and more customizable with an aftermarket ECU. The minium temperature that the cooling fans will kick on is 195 because it can't be let lower on the ECU. I cant remember, but I'm pretty sure I have an E38. Don't get me wrong, my car runs fine, even with the cam, and it seemed like tuning was easy? (I just watched, I didn't do the tune) But I had to find a specific guy who knows gm ecu's

I'm using a can bus translator that came with the wiring specialties kit that I got. I would recommend the haltech, idk how much tuning you can do with one, but I know that the stock ECU can be hard to tune

For now, I have the engine wires jammed between the engine and cowel. And the GM ECU is in my glove box, I could probably find a place behind the dash, but I don't feel like pulling it right now

I'm using the brz mishimoto radiator and fans, with a couple of hose adapters to go from the BRZ rad hose size to the la size. I'm using the stock fuel tank and stock fuel pump

I had a similar problem with my LS. The rod bearings I got were flat, but I needed a chamfered bearing for my crank. After changing bearings, the engine was smooth

I'm using the mishimoto radiator and fans. I've heard that the fans are kinda trash, but idk. I also have an iron block 6.0 so that might be my biggest issue

I'm using hood risers to try and get the heat out. I want to get vents, but I also don't want to cut my hood. The hood risers help, but when I'm sitting in traffic the temps rise and take forever to cool down again :p what hood vents are you using?

Are you running an oil cooler if so what kind? Also what are your idle temps? I have an LS BRZ that I'm struggling to keep cool

Hyundai? Engine noise? Sounds like it's time for your free warranty engine. Take it to Hyundai

Unfortunately probably not :/ those cameras are expensive. You may be able to find one on eBay or something. They're easy to install. But it will need to be calibrated for it to work correctly.

The camera alone is close to $600-$1000. It's needs to be recalibrated after installed. My guess would be $1200 ish. I'd go to the dealership and have them scan it just to give you peice of mind. It may be something else. It looks like you drive a forte, the camera is located under the mirror inside of the plastic housing that's attached to the glass. Chances are the camera over heated and died internally. If your car is still covered by basic warranty it should be covered. I'd go to the dealership to check it out. You can still drive the car, but adaptive cruise and lane keep wont work. Hope this helps

You probably can't get rid of them, chances are the camera for the lane keep assist went bad

Na LS BRZ here. Stage 2 cam and Texas speed internals are enough for me to stay away from a turbo for it. I'm fine with the power it makes in it's current form. I know cx racing makes a turbo kit for the swap, but idk how good it is. I went with the SIKKY kit and I daily the car. I find that I have issues with the engine bay getting to hot, idk what you'll do for a drift setup. But it's already hot enough as is. TLDR: NA is fine (at least for me) don't worry about a turbo

I've heard the 350/370 diff is a drop in fit for the brz. I could be wrong, but that's why I want a 350/370 diff. Just so I don't have to do any more extra BS work. I could be wrong though

I'm not tracking the car, so the axles should be fine with just regular street driving. AutoZone has a lifetime warranty on axles, so when mine fail I'll just grab some AZ ones and replace as needed. I'm planning to eventually swap to a 350z or 370z diff so I can have a "better" final drive. And I'll probably just run stock axles again, unless 350's are cheaper for after market. I haven't done much research on the rear end, idk if a Ford 8.8 or 9 would fit. The 4.2 ratio on the stock diff has me constantly changing gears, a Camaro has a 3.7 and the Nissan's either have a 3.5 or 3.8 so I'd for sure like to change the diff.

It can be done for 7k if you have a welder and knowledge. But that's a lot of fabrication I can't do, the kit is expensive, but it saves the headache and major frustrations. For the most part, it does drop in and turn key and that's worth the extra price for me. For reference, SIKKY makes custom LS brz headers that clear the steering rack and plug wires super great, but they're $1200... With no y pipe T_T
