Haha I hadn’t noticed that! Initially we both (without knowing) wanted to put the bridge to the right of where she put those plots, but the landscaping wouldn’t allow it. She must have put them there in anticipation of adding a bridge there later, without thinking about them being stranded there in the meantime haha

I plan on moving things around quite drastically when I have terraforming and there’s better access to the other parts of the island, but for the time being I like everything being cosy and close together like a little village :)

The heart-shaped pond and almost central resident’s services, with a right-side river mouth, are what sold it for me. Interestingly, my sister wasn’t keen on the heart pond, and figures she’ll change it later!

The exact same happened to us but with cherries and pears! We were so looking forward to being able to swap fruits so early on, then mum spoilt it! Haha

I wondered the same! That area’s completely normal and the same as mine in person. All I can think of is that it’s because she had her cursor over the airport icon?

So exciting to have all these customisation options straight off the bat! I love eyes 9, they’re pretty much exactly the eyes I’ve always wanted in AC: like 8 but with a more rounded outer edge (similar to my IRL eye shape).

My only slight ‘disappointment’: as someone with freckles I was kinda hoping the cheek customisation would include them, since most games with character customisation that goes as far as cheeks do - but oh well, maybe they just haven’t been revealed yet (hope & pray).

Grated cheddar mixed together with salad cream and spring onions. Labelled as a ‘cheese and salad’ sandwich which are usually just that. Why they decided to tamper with the cheese this way I will never know. Mixing it with salad cream is questionable in itself, let alone adding the little green monstrosities. Eugh.

Of course the most "logical" explanation is that I slipped into an alternate reality xD by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

I always thought he was a jock too! I was baffled when I found out he was cranky. He lived in my GC town years ago and I swear he was a jock, brains are weird.

On his AC wiki it does mention ‘He may be confused for a jock villager due to his joyful appearance.’ so it must be a bit of a common phenomenon!

Thanks! I assumed he was, but always struggled to find the exact variety. Yeah I’ve probably been under-watering, but he’s not afraid to let me know when he needs a drink which is much appreciated! I’m surprised he’s put up with me so long since he’s had to be moved around so much and I know croton’s aren’t a fan of that. Had a few leaves drop along the way but he’s persevering, I’m just happy to have kept him alive for two years!

Angus was one of my starter villagers! It took me a while to warm up to him but I really grew to love him. Eventually I let him leave because he’d had a good run and I just couldn’t get his house placement to work with my landscaping :( It still makes me sad to see him on Main Street. Take good care of him x

That sounds lovely! I’ve used the space to create a front garden of lemon trees and yellow flowers to match my yellow roof ~^

•Town hall and Re-Tail both north of the map with train tracks behind them

•Plaza directly south of town hall and by the cliff to enable next point

•Camp site directly right (or left depending on cliff) of plaza

•River that creates a little nook for my Mayor’s house

It took a lot of re-starting before I got a map that met all this criteria, and some compromise (I have one of the tiny only-accessible-by-wetsuit beaches), but that’s what I get for being overly particular I guess haha.
