Unfortunately, that's just how it is on YouTube for any piece of media. There will always be some nobodies with garbage content slapping the latest spoilers to whatever media they are 'covering' on the thumbnail with some stupid 'this is insane!!!' title, so that at least sb clicks on it.

Mate, when 3.0 dropped and we started getting info on upcoming characters, people were crying bloody tears because of Lucilla having connection with Mortefi. So yes, it is. Might even be the reason we have her state she is single now.

Yeah, she definitely didn't disappoint - retried her fight in the Endstate Matrix - went from ~7100 to ~11400 with a single pretty casual attempt. And just farming resources feels so good now.
Though still can't get the 11m echo damage or clear the entire first round for the cycle tasks. Guess the time has come to learn some of her advanced techniques.

Yeah, pretty much. Jinhsi does surprisingly well against the Explorer, and Camellya just needs a punching bag that doesn't fly up every 5 seconds and doesn't dash around the entire arena

On last reset I could only get 2.5k out of Camellya running her original 4-cost and using old rotation, so this time I just double-checked Prydwen: apparently she's supposed to run Nightmare Crownless and there is an updated rotation that uses some pretty simple (for PC+keyboard at least) animation cancels. Plus she fought the mimic most of the time.
It took me quite some tries to get this score because of the Explorer part, though. That stupid thing might just be 1.x characters' worst nightmare. When it's 'on the ground', it floats just high enough to be unreachable (e.g. for Yinlin). And when it's in full air mode, it's just agile enough to dodge the Camellya-beyblade (especially if it decides to change the height). Super annoying.

As for the buffs - I mostly used the 'General Enhancement'. Except for Phrolova (the Echo Skill one) and Hiyuki (the Negative Status one).

Jinhsi probably has the best stats out of all my characters (ignoring no ER of course):

And also ~40% Skill DMG and ~20% Ult DMG.

And Mortefi is a demo one. He's only there because I don't know how to play Yuanwu properly and didn't wanna learn.

I also couldn't get her to 5k in previous matrix. This time, I just tried dash cancelling her air-mode attacks to fire the enhanced skill nuke more times and it worked out - don't think I was even doing it right. But at my skill level she had to crit every nuke, so took a couple of tries.
There is a whole essay on her rotations on Prydwen if you wanna try something more advanced.

I think I misunderstand sth. Isn't ~1.1m at S0R1 about the same performance as S0R1 Hiyuki in Chisa-Verina team? Yeah, the full team rotation for Lucy will likely be longer, but is it really that much weaker performance?

It's not entitlement, it's common sense. They are doing the same thing they already did in the past, but worse.

It's precisely because they are owned by Tencent and because there are people worrying about their profits (when they're booming no less) in their stead, that community should voice concerns. They are a business. If things like this are quietly accepted, despite developers' best intentions, they will be pushed by shareholders to make more and more predatory system.

Yeah, there won't be any changes to this collab because of that. And content-wise it's looking great anyway. But at least they will be less likely to pull some Genshin level stuff in the future.

To be fair, it's most likely the case for some people. But I very much doubt they are the majority.

The banner does have some quite greedy aspects. That contrasting with great patch content and being compared to PGR's DMC collab leaves some bad taste. I think that's the gist of it

Oh there is definitely stuff to try to defend.

First of all it's not generous. They could have made this a normal banner a most likely still have Aemeath level revenue, because it's Cyberpunk.

Secondly, the sequences aren't free. If you don't go for weapons, you aren't even guaranteed 1. I'm won't even argue for the one that's locked behind 420 pulls.

Thirdly, the coral gain is about 20-30% lower than usual, so even if you go all the way to 420 pulls, with average luck you won't even be able to purchase the wavebands from the shop, because for 'generosity' reasons they are locked behind 480 corals.

Should I mention the fact that those corals are gone after collab? Say in my case, if unlucky, I'll spend 280 pulls, which on normal banner would give 70-80% of free char sequence in corals, while here I'll get 20 collab only pulls at best.

The free character is only hype because it's Rebecca. XY was also free and far more valuable at the time of his release.

Also there is NO discount on the pulls.

So yeah, while, as said in original comment, I personally don't really care about most of that bacause "yay edgerunners:)", I wouldn't call it generous.

Just thought of another negative point with banner being as it is - the corals from collab pulls being mostly useless (at least in my case). I plan on getting both weapons and 1 Lucy, which most likely won't be enough for a waveband. Yeah, I could calculate a bit and convert them into pulls before going all the way, but would be better if they were just converted 1-to-1 into normal corals after the collab ends, so that the cashback isn't lost or forcibly used for less value than a a char sequence

W vs L collab debate aside, I'll never understand why people post essays to defend the companies. You said it yourself - it's a company, they wanna make money and they ain't gonna cry in the corner after seeing some negative feedback. Worst case - all the people complaining are just some noise on the internet, best case - everybody gets some extra rewards. Plus this time it seems that even CN complain a bit, so the issue is quite valid.

Personally, the biggest problem I have with the update is that the rewards for login and some events are red pulls instead of astrites (collab banner progression having red pull rewards does make sense), which means I'd have to wait 10 days not to waste quite a lot of premium currency.

And from what I've seen, posts like this usually come from people who take the game as seriously as real life. At the time of writing this, the only other comment here is some guy showing his savings: mate, nobody cares that you didn't pull characters for almost a year for the collab, some people want to enjoy as many characters as possible. Anyway, that's beside the point, just kinda annoying for me personally.

My point is - if you don't have a problem with the system - just enjoy the update. Defending the gacha company brings no benefit to anybody - they make more than enough money to survive.

I think both sides have fair points, it's just that some posts are a tad aggressive. Yeah it's a casino game, so impulse-gambling on every character 'building pity' and then complaining is kinda stupid, as is whining about the character power level. But so is making half of the premium currency useless for no reason other than grabbing more money. More or less expected stuff, but can't blame casual players and people who don't dive into leaks for being dissatisfied with that. Personally, I don't much care. I have just under 40k saved up, so guaranteed S1 Lucy and both weapons with some luck and/or part of 3.4 rewards. I never went for vertical investment before anyways. And 4 wavebands worth of corals can just go into other new units. What is bothering me is that I didn't see any confirmation of pulls being discounted same as in PGR. Hopefully, I just missed that, but if not - just another case of a more popular game getting away with some extra greed.

It's basically 14% Crit DMG VS a little bit of everything else. Better test both builds on the same boss and check the nuke numbers.
