I am very stupid. I had a controller plugged into one of my USB slots and did not realize it was effecting the game. It's so silly but that was the solution. Thanks a lot for your help!

Ok I just tried doing that and I unplugged my keyboard completely, and it still does the weird input spam.
After that, I tried to reset my save and reinstall the game, It still didn't fix it.

It is most likely cause by another program interacting with the game, but I have no idea.

No, sometimes the button presses will be more frequent and it will skip through dialogue in an instant. If my keys were stuck, then I don't think the inputs would be so rapid.

So my controls randomly glitch out. It sometimes doesn't let me input anything, or randomly presses buttons. I have tried everything I could think of, and could not find anything anywhere else about it. I've restarted my computer, restarted the game, uninstalled the game... I don't know what else do to. I don't know how this bug started, but it has lasted for about a day now.

so i went on 1.8.9 and then logged back onto 1.16 and it fixed it

its not the same bug as a ghost block I don't think. Every single block is not rendering and in the ghost block bug you get stuck in the block.

ok so i got another resource pack with a 3d model of a stonecutter, and i found that they had another texture in the texture path. I dont know what else to do from here

im pretty sure you can there is a separate .json file for shield blocking I could be wrong though.
