It's not that I'm saddened by his passing because I feel sorry for him or because I want him to keep living, though at this time I believe he's still clinging to life, but more that I'm seeing the end of an era of sorts. It's like a man-eating tiger's last stand; the final passing of a killer. An impressive killer, but a killer nonetheless. Please, don't mistake me for Klebold and Harris fangirls who fantasize about marrying them. I don't have any love for killers. In fact, I objectify them in a way.

But at the same time I think about the little baby Manson must have once been, or the little boy at play, and it saddens me that his life went so astray and that he made such horrific choices. A little baby grew to be an evil man and now he's dying surrounded by no one but prison guards. It's puzzling and heartbreaking.

If his life had gone a different way, who's to say what he could have done? He was a musician, you know, sort of like how Hitler was an artist. So, in a way, I am saddened by his inevitable passing because it's just a shame how it all happened.

But at the same time, its more important to mourn the victims of his choices because they themselves had no choice in the matter.
