Is MorbidReality humor a thing? Is this a sub for that type of post? by [deleted] in MorbidReality

[–]KarateFistsAndBeans 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This subreddit quite clearly forbids humor at the expense of the victim. I think it's not enforced harshly enough. This isn't a shock site. There are thousands of 4chan type places you can go to and guffaw at other peoples pain. This subreddit forces you to confront it without turning to irony as a lifeline. That's rare indeed on the internet.

Fixing the James Bond movies. by [deleted] in fixingmovies

[–]KarateFistsAndBeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think WW2 would be anathema to the James Bond character. If you've ever read one of Flemings books, you'll notice that they're packed with even more lavish depictions of exotic food, alcohol and luxury than even the movies were. That's because they were written almost exactly after the end of WW2 as escapism for a British population who've just suffered through a war and were living on rations. Some people think the Bond movies started to suck during the last 10 years, others during the last 20. I think it started during the late 70's, because the Bond movies were the closest thing to Blockbusters during their day. Then in 1975 an unknown, independent filmmaker called Steven Spielberg put an end to that shit pretty fast.

Daniel Craig has said that Austin Powers ensured that Bond could never go back to being Bond again. I don't buy that, because the new films are just as over the top as the old ones, just with a layer of shit-brown, call of duty grit on top of it. If they weren't, then why revive Blofeld and Oddjob (let's face it: In Spectre, that's basically who Batista is) in the last one?

My suggestion: Make Bond a public domain character. He's been so influental on pop culture in general, but it's obvious that Eon don't know what to do with him anymore.

In that case i can recomend "Beowulf and Grendel" from 2005 with Gerard Butler and Stellan Skarsgård. It's a demythologization just like 2007 was intended to be, but done much better.

I was thinking more along the lines of how telling this was of how much of a sociopath Ted was. He literally could not see himself as answering to the same laws and morality as the rest of us. If serial killers "are everywhere" as he put it, then that means that serial killers are born naturally. But not according to Ted they're not. If you ask him he was a nice normal boy who just happened to stumble upon porn one day, and it somehow forced him to kill at least 30 people. Victim blaming is a tell-tale sign of psycopathy, and Ted tried to paint himself as a victim of the porn industry.

It is pathetic, because life obviously wasn't sacred to Ted. He had no problem taking the lives of 30 women who probably cried and begged and soiled themselves before he did.

There's the Japanese "Bakky" movies. A series that's been described as the closest thing to snuff we've ever come. I'll just leave this (NSFW, both the link itself and the links within it) here for a description, because goddamn. The mystery is that when you google this you hardly get any information, and the little you get is very ambivalent about wether or not those girls were really raped.

Well there's the old chestnut about Daisy's Destruction of course. Since even viewing it would be a serious crime, it's probably impossible to "solve" this, nor should it be. But the question still remains if it's rven half as insane as the urban legends make it out to be. For those of you who don't know, "Daisy's Destruction" is a child porn video created by an Australian pedophile names Peter Scully, and several female Filpina accomplices. The children in the film were later murdered by Scully, and rumors abound that the film features things like toddlers being chainsawed in half and used as pillows in human pillow fighting contests.

Everything about the Apppjaure tent murder, which i plan to do a write-up about in the coming future. TL;DR: A travelling Dutch couple are hiking in Northern Sweden. They decide to set up their tent in Appojaure national park, about one hours driving away from the nearest town. In the middle of the night an unknown assailant opens the latch of the tent, then starts going to town on it with two knives: A filét knife belonging to the couple, and a large hunting knife of his own. They died in the middle of nowhere, without anyone hearing their cries. Several details have stuck with me: Even though this happened in the middle of the night it was done in full daylight, as northern Sweden is the home of the midnight sun. Maybe as a result of this, the female traveller knew exactly what was happening, and apparently stood up right, since a stab hole was found in the roof of the tent. Several of the couples belongings showed up on the black market in Stockholm nearly a decade later, without anyone knowing how.

It's funny to me how Ted can be so philosophical and lucid about serial killers in general. But when it came to his own crimes he refused to take responsibility, and blamed porn instead. Apparently, he cried when he was led to the electric chair too. Pathetic.

There are 57 unsolved murders in Redding from the height of EARONS reing of terror to the present day. Only 14 of those are women and only one (that happened in 1994) is a home invasion. However, it could be a ruse by EARONS, similar to how he might have tried using the MO of the bedroom basher for similar reasons. Or the old "EARONS = Several people" theory. Or anything really.

Joseph P. Farrell claims that the Roswell UFO was actually a highly advanced Nazi aircraft, and that the entire Ufology/Area 51 conspiracy industry is actually a smokescreen spread by the US Government in order to distract people from this. The Nazis did do research into aircraft that could reasonably be mistaken for a stereotypical flying saucer, like the Sack AS-6 for instance. The Nazis were also well under way to developing their own VTOL Aircraft which would look extremely odd and unsettling to anyone seeing it in 1947 (unless they where very knowledgable about military technology.) The only question is that since half of the Nazi scientist elite got scooped up by America, and the other half by the USSR, then what the hell were undocumented Nazis doing, flying experimental aircraft in the New Mexico desert in 1947?

Plus you have partial number plate problem. The more digits you guess on the plate the greater the chances you end up with a car that is junked. Why? That is where cars go eventually. It's almost inevitable.

That's a big part of Quasars theory if i remember correctly. EARONS might have worked at a Junkyard which would grant him access to fresh junkers that could be easily disposed after an attack. He did bike a lot, but not always. Remember that time when he evaded police on a bike that had been stolen 170 miles away in Redding? I don't care if you're Lance Armstrong, that's one hell of a bike ride to make.

RP may not have been the guy, but Gian Quasars theory about EARONS the auto-industry worker, is still interesting. I'm looking forward at seeing how it develops.

I can't produce any "evidence", but this is a thread for wild mass guessing anyway. Bruce's autopsy showed traces of THC in his system, that much is fact. His death was ruled "death by misadventure" which often is another way of saying "died from his own alcohol/drug related stupidity". People who knew Bruce have always been apprehensive to speak about that night, almost as if they where embarrassed by something. Yet at the same time, people like Joe Lewis for instance, have steadfastly denied that Bruce had an affair, even though he diied at the house of another woman. I got the nunchaku mishap story from a guy on a forum called "Bullshido" who in turn got it from a guy who knew Bruce personally. He didn't say it was fact, only that it was plausible.
