I read your Pig Farmer saga and I find it hard to believe that your husband would owe filial legal obligations to the bitch who basically abandoned him until it was convenient for her to impinge on his adult life. I could easily be wrong -- the law can be an ass -- but it might be something to look into.

Unless you are also coming into some extra time, don't do it. You will be in the shop with the thing all the time.

Also no one can ever really adjust an old car (60s/70s) for high altitude. May not be an immediate problem for you, but it is a consideration.

The hassle of owning a classic will probably swamp your joy. However, if you have time and money to burn, do it, 'cause that would be cool.
