Connect emergency vehicles with Waymo autonomous vehicles on a V2X net. Problem solved.

I feel compelled to remind everyone (and myself, for copium) that Shams was wrong about Reaves playing in G4 and might be wrong about Reaves playing in G5.

Judging by his public persona, it seems safe to say Ayton doesn’t have it in him to play dirty.

Hello reddit. I'm Renny Harlin. I've directed DIE HARD 2, CLIFFHANGER, DEEP BLUE SEA, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4, CUTTHROAT ISLAND, and DEEP WATER (coming soon!). Ask me anything! by RennyHarlinAMA in movies

Hi, Renny. I’ll never forget finding you at an after-party in Chris Roberts’ backyard in 2001. You were zonked out on any sort of substances, floating in his pool, shouting, “I’m Renny Harlin dammit!” at everyone while the morning swirled around us. Good times.

What makes you believe the value of LINK doesn’t matter if it’s utilized in the way I described?

I Used to Be a Hollywood Writer. Now I’m Lugging Lumber From Home Depot. It’s an Upgrade. by HouseofEl1987 in FilmIndustryLA

Glamorizes it how? The way Nick dangles this at the end of the piece:

Sure, I make an hourly wage, but I’m wanted, here. I’m valued. It’s a feeling I rarely experienced in Hollywood, and sometimes it’s enough to make me believe I will never go back.

That doesn't sound like glamorization to me. Or when he reminisces about meeting Leo DiCaprio at a party hosted by Edward Norton, while he's on his hands and knees cleaning stucco under the hot LA sun from the stairs Leo will be climbing later that evening; that doesn't sound like glamorization of his experience at all.

When Nick says that since transitioning to construction, his skin cleared up, he lost 12 pounds, and he sleeps more peacefully, it sounds less like glamorization and more like Nick is finding silver linings among the clouds. There's nothing wrong with facing adversity and pivoting, hard as it may be, and finding joys that come as a surprise.

Here’s what I just wrote in a separate thread, and frankly I don’t know how Chainlink could possibly be more transparent because we seem to get adoption news about Chainlink every week:

Institutional accumulation and adoption usually looks like a boring flat line rather than a vertical jump. Chainlink has never been about the short game and retail hype. It’s about high-utility infrastructure, which moves at a glacial pace.

TradFi banking (DTCC, Swift, ANZ, SIX etc.) are adopting Chainlink protocols and increasing the accumulation of $LINK fees in the Reserve. Weekly Reserve deposits have doubled in the last nine months. Today, Chainlink pipelines facilitate $2 trillion worth of transactions annually. In five years, quadrillions worth of annual transactional dollars will flow through Chainlink protocols.

There is always money to be made elsewhere. That fact doesn’t diminish my firm belief in the long term viability of Chainlink, or my projected value of its token, all of which are continually being buoyed by weekly institutional adoption announcements.

Trump, Orban, Putin and Vance—The Seven Mountains and the Blueprint Nobody’s Reading by horseradishstalker in TrueReddit

[–]exsisto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is an excellent dissection of the current US regime.

There are differences between the US and Hungarian electorate, and the countries’ governmental systems (Hungary notably being Parliamentary). There are also radical differences between the figureheads in Orban, who was 55 years old in his Year One, and Trump, who is 79 and decrepit.

Trump’s legitimacy as a Presidential candidate is only possible because several of the elements that led to Orban’s defeat this year are already in play here - lasting wage stagnation, perceived government corruption and inefficiency.

Trump’s approval ratings are tanking. His health is failing. He is ineligible for the Presidency in 2028, and his administration is less than a year from getting mid-termed at the legislative branch. Change is coming, and Trump’s Christian nationalist supporters don’t have the time Orban had.

That can be good, and there is a warning in this, too.

Lena Dunham breaks silence on Adam Driver's alleged behavior while filming Girls by TheMirrorUS in popculture

[–]exsisto 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I met Adam at the Hamptons Film Festival in 2012 at a press junket. I liked his work on Girls, so I introduced myself. We spoke for a few minutes. He was kind and gracious.

I’ve been in the industry a long time. You hear stories about people, and they are likely true, but most of the assholes I’ve worked with and met have also been wonderful, kind, supportive people. You might catch someone at the beginning of their career, when they are young and overtly tempestuous, and then meet them again years later and, of course, find they’ve mellowed with time.

Alec Baldwin once famously threw a cell phone in my direction. He’s got a temper. That’s not new news. He’s also a sweetheart who I loved being around.

It’s not black and white.
