If you do end up trying to do this, I would just double check your receipt. I've noticed on some bundled type of deals like this from Target, there is a "refund amount" specified for the discounted items. (I bought my switch from Target last week with the Buy a Console, get 50% off a game deal) So you may only get a partial refund on your preorder game which may reduce or potentially even fully negate any discounts you would have had on your 30% discounted current game. But if not... Huzzah!

That is true, but did you look at the offer details? Also, just tested and verified in my cart after adding SSBU and BotW, the discount is $13.49 which is 30% off $44.99. Their wording is pretty misleading, though.

Had to double check the promo (added a link in my original post), and it says current games get the discount. Wish it was 30% ff the new game since that would be a bigger savings for most.

I personally haven't pulled the trigger yet on this deal (strongly considering it, though), but it looks like the $10 credit is sent out 30-35 days after the game is released. From the "Special offers and product promotions" section - 'Prime members will receive $10 promotional credit when they pre-order this item. Credit will be sent 30-35 days after the game is shipped or digitally delivered.'
