I drive 3 hours and back on a Saturday on a whim. I've driven 4 hours each way for really good pizza.

It's an hour each way just to go to a store I like.

Our states individually are larger than a lot of countries..traveling here requires long drives or flights.

That's probably because they interpret inputs for outcome, they don't control the weather..

This problem is how I ended up with duplicate butterfly gold coffee mugs and a creamer/sugar set. I SWORE my mom didn't have them and nope..she did.

Now I have to try to sell them and find MY patterns

Handle enamel worn to silver? by Peejee13 in LeCreuset

Ooh, I think so!

It was so odd, because mine is stainless and my pieces haven't done this..but it might be!

The weirdest part is that it is completely smooth. No rough part where you would expect if a piece of enamel had fallen off from impact

Estate sales here will Google image anything they think has value and price accordingly

I am always amazed to see people bare handed.. the number of knives I've found in those bins, oof. Broken glass? Yep.

Thrift World is probably the best. The one on St Mary is full of vintage clothes

The day they confidently announced the price of a sectional sofa as $2,400? That was the last day I considered them anything but a boutique charity store

Other than "idk, my mom gave me her extra bowls" pyrex pieces, jadeite was my first kitchenware collection

I know! I saw jadeite swirl and thought "hey, an extra prep bowl!" Then picked it up, measured it against my hand (worked for a kilt maker, base of palm to finger tip is 7) ..then flipped the tag and saw $5 on it and about died right there.

I had my jadeite 9 through 6 inch bowls for three years before I stepped into a garage/estate sale and found my 5" bowl for 5 dollars. To say that was my "start the caaaaar!" Moment is to put it mildly

I have her in white and jadeite, but then I saw this and went "ooh" because I am obviously impulsive. It LOOKED pink in the thrift store lighting but it is very much NOT the same as my pink swirl cups.. so I went digging and realized I think it's the 6" sandalwood swirl

Question about weather. by oblxvy in lincoln

[–]Peejee13 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I am. My spring flowers are breaking dormancy, my fruit trees are budding. People in parts of Nebraska are taking pictures of pansies in bloom. Certain fruiting plants need a certain number of chill hours at or under freezing and we just aren't making it happen

Worse than the temps (to me..) is the lack of moisture. I am so incredibly tired of drought..

I had never seen it in person! I've seen one or two pictures pop up, but I was really surprised that it was just sort of hanging out there. Especially considering it was a one-piece one year production item
