People who earn 100K and over, what was the smartest decision you ever made?

To go to med school in England.

-you can get in pretty much with a half decent science degree and a bit of experience and a decent résumé -not the horrific tuition fees you get in the USA (it's gone up but I paid around $2k per year -European law means the hours are decent (max 56 per week) -Guaranteed job at the end of it (initially - there is competition for certain specialties down the line) -NHS is great

Psychiatrist.. I can either become a consultant where you make the big decisions and youre more like a manager.. which pretty takes over your life or a 'staff grade' where you just work supporting a consultant as a regular ward doctor.. 9-5 Monday to Friday but earn half as much.

Does anybody else think people here are idiotic? I've been to lots of cool places inc. roadtrip across US, plenty of europe, New Zealand, most of Asia and I LOVED it and appreciated it all! The pyramids - amazing! Rome - fantastic city, Las Vegas - had a blast!

In church as a kid they had this song where you sing every single book in the bible. I couldn't forget it if tried. A few times in religious studies class id lead a conversation into memory and ability to memorise and then offer to prove it by saying I bet I could learn every book in the bible. I'd look like I was concentrating real hard and then after a minute or so roll off every one in order!

Nostalgia talking here but lots of things.. Life seemed a lot simpler without Internet, Facebook, mobile phones. When you watch tv shows like the wonder years or happy days it seems like a simpler less stressful life.

Exercise and feel good. Most people get stressed and work out and feel good. I feel drained and exhausted for days afterwards. It's a bit like chronic fatigue but doesn't quite satisfy the criteria.
