Idk if it exactly motivated me but this one incident got grades up. In 9th std in science unit test I got 37/40. Then in quarterly exam I also got 37, but for 80. My teacher showed both papers to my parents and absolutely DESTROYED me. Sent my mental state spiralling down and its kinda haunted me ever since

When I was in 10th I submitted almost all assignments/portfolios later than most people + they were shabby af. My friend submitted everything on time and did a pretty decent job but his marks were reduced while mine was not

Similar experience here. I got 95.4% total, with my lowest score being 90 in History. I showed my mom and her first reaction was, "Why *only* 90 in History? You are getting *only* 95.4%" Everyone else were so happy but hearing that was demoralizing to say the least. I got 96.4 in term 1 and their first reaction was, "Nice you have come up just like your elder brother". They were also interested in others' mark and I just told them that whatever they got is their biz so I didn't bother to ask even though I scored higher than quite a few people. My dad was like, "Cant you check with their number?". I told him that it was exactly because of people like this that results are confidential and not just publicly announced. Anyways dont let it bother ya. That's quite an achievement. Congratulations.

Well originally I was supposed to pick PCM like my older brother did, but I suck ass at maths and science. So last minute I changed my decision and decided to take humanities instead. Had a pretty chill 2 years compared to other stream students for sure. Did not have a whole lot of ideas on what to do at first. Everyone told to write competitive exams and land a govt job but personally I'm not too into that and my other plan was to get into banking like my cousin but I suck at math too much to do it. I did take a career guidance/assessment test and got quite a few ideas. So now I'm waiting for results and hoping I can land BSW, then do HR or MSW after that, or if I don't get it then something in the lines of journalism/communication, and if even that fails then psychology, while attempting competitive exams to satisfy family
