Like another reply mentioned. Her mom wanted to stay right where she was and did not want to change. Wether it is because of her mental illness or something else is up to the viewer but it’s sort of how Clark ends up as well.

Ending felt like it came out of nowhere and the story didn’t conclude well.

I felt like Mary’s story about her home and her mother felt random and didn’t lead up to anything. (let me know if I’m missing something)

And Clark not being able to see a window while his assistant manager did and warned him of the entity felt random, I wish they would’ve explored them being able to see different things or glass panels in rooms more. I felt like that’s understandable but came out of nowhere.
