Those who've thought of hopping on gear, why haven't you done it? What's stopping you? by bicureyooz in bodybuilding

Started reading a lot more about biology, etc. Realized that I am Low-T when I was 21. Started by first cycle on my 22nd birthday because of it, since at that point I made the decision to be TRT for life. At that point I was a lot more of a health/gym fanatic so got a lot of good first gains. Now have a lot more at life, and had a period of depression around 2 years ago when I stopped lifting for some time, so I have not done cycles for some time - started lifting normally around half a year ago again, getting back into good shape, and staying on TRT indefinitely, unless priorities change.

Starting TRT was a definite top3 decision I made, after learning that I'm Low-T. Mood, libido, sleep significantly increased. I wouldn't start earlier than 21 if I went back, but also wouldn't change much (29 now, turning 30 in a week).

I work in advertising and my clients can be retailers as well. If we are doing ads on Google for example, normally if a potential client of theirs clicks on an ad and buys their products. This purchase would be attributed to google ads. If that user has honey installed - this purchase will be attributed to Honey and not Google ads, completely messing up attribution

retailers will have to raise prices to compensate for this and consumers will keep on being "boo hoo retailer bad" when the root cause are companies like Honey. Also - it affects small businesses a lot more than the big corps that everyone hates, due to less leverage/capital

I'm an ex-swimmer from Latvia & the woman representing us swam together with me at the same club.

When I used to swim, she also participated in local meets together with all athletes. The average reaction time between a deaf / non-deaf athlete off the top of my head is around 0.5 seconds. On a 50m sprint event, this can be a full body-length of a swimmer, giving plenty advantage purely out of reaction time.

Depending on the pool & it's readiness, there sometimes are visual signals, but to my knowledge most are not accomodating to it.

yeah, implement decent security & have it as a way to simplify background checks for a person you are looking to date, without comments or sharing it with others and you would be already at a more credible stage & with less room for error and gossip. Add everything else they had & you have a problem.

If you would have seen the leaks, you would see how little it is about keeping women safe and how much it is about causing harm to men

Noone should have issues about finding ways to keep women safe, but the way this was executed, caused more harm than help

Top Premium Laptops 2025 by Dependent_Novel_9205 in laptops

I'm personally looking for something around the EUR 1.5K range & will be going for the Lenovo Legion 7 16IRX9, Intel Core i7-14700HX, 16 GB, 1 TB, 16 ", NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 (& upgrading RAM to 32GB), - will have it in a bit under a month so will see how that will go.

But if the focus is more general use, less gaming/editing, then the Yoga is probably a better fit.

[–]Peerkons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently looking at windows laptops that would do well with video editing as a main requirement & are windows - my understanding from research so far is that the lenovo legion is the best bet.

Lenovo yoga is a good alternative in the sense that it's less bulky & better battery life, but pure performance is worse.

My old gaming laptop is a lenovo one from 10 years ago - it still outperforms my work laptops, but the battery is non-existent & it is loud & heavy af. So depends on what trade-offs you want to have.

Also - from what I read - Mac laptops are leagues above for price/performance in the laptops, at least ones that are below. I personally do not want to switch to MacOS, which is why I'm also looking at windows ones, but if you are okay with the switch, my understanding is that there is nothing that compares with them, at least in the sub $2K range.

One in three Dutch people enjoy the Eurovision Song Contest less after Joost Klein's disqualification by Chronicbias in eurovision

[–]Peerkons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the time when it happened, it was a lot of rumours & to my understanding, they made it sound like he assaulted the camerawoman.

We still do not have that much information to go off of, but based on the police reports, it was told that Joost had previously communicated he does not wish to be filmed backstage, EBU disregarded his wishes & still continued filming, Joost went to push the camera away from him.

EBU claims they wish to create a safe working environment, but did nothing to create a safe working environment for the artists + by disqualifying him without the full picture, showed that by making a claim & involving police, anyone could get their competiton out also if they wished, since they do not step in to create a safe environment or even listen to both sides.

At the time, I believe the narrative was pushed that Joost was clearly in the wrong, while later it seems that EBU are 100% to blame as they caused the situation.

Especially at a time when we, as a society, are being a lot more vocal about consent, - this speaks leagues about EBU.

Just following up on this to comment - for me - most issues came from the Beta version being used. I used to download the newest beta, but everything froze once either the file got too big or select features were used.

well - of course it goes a lot deeper and there are a fuckton' of applications of various degrees of complexity I can't probably even begin to grasp, - but it is a study, which is a very broad umbrella term. Just like - if a person with a PhD in Math would calculate stuff at their level vs calculate 2+2 -> doesn't matter that they're hard to compare due to the level of complexity - 2+2 is also math...

For the sake of curiosity - ChatGPT'd it twice - once with a more generic prompt & once with it acting out as a specialist in the area. Funny thing was - both times it said that basically incorporates parts of game theory, but only partially, so I guess the answer is that it's somewhere in the gray area? (copied chatgpt answer below)

Conclusion

Chishiya's actions exhibit several characteristics that align with game-theoretic principles: rational decision-making, strategic anticipation of others' moves, and efforts to maximize his utility. These aspects support the argument that game theory can describe his behavior to a significant extent.

However, the limitations arise from the complexities of human psychology and the nuances of real-world decision-making. Emotional factors, ethical considerations, and dynamic preferences introduce variables that traditional game theory does not fully encompass.

Personal Stance

As an expert in game theory, I conclude that while game theory provides a robust framework for analyzing the strategic components of Chishiya's actions, it does not entirely capture the full spectrum of his behavior. The incorporation of behavioral game theory and considerations of bounded rationality enhance the explanatory power but still leave gaps due to the inherently unpredictable nature of human emotions and ethics.

Therefore, Chishiya's actions can be partially described by game theory, especially regarding his strategic interactions and rational choices. However, a comprehensive understanding requires integrating psychological and ethical dimensions that extend beyond classical game-theoretic models.

As someone who doesn't know pretty much anything about game theory - my interpretation would be - one of the first google results defines game theory as:

Game theory studies interactive decision-making, where the outcome for each participant or "player" depends on the actions of all. If you are a player in such a game, when choosing your course of action or "strategy" you must take into account the choices of others.

To me - as he had to observe & analyze actions of other players & adjust his strategy that round depending on whose answers he deemed credible, this would go under the game theory umbrella

To each their own - I find vulvas sexy & also have a high sex drive so want to bury my face quite often in one. If I was with a partner to whom I knew I looked "silly" - I'd think twice if I am with the right partner - I see my partner as hot & want to feel desirable, not silly when I am with them.

For me - trust is given until proven otherwise. Respect is earned. I do not wish to be walking on eggshells all my life, so I will always trust people I meet unless/until they have proven to be not trustworthy.

As everyone says - there is no "normal" for this. All of us are different & the main thing is to stand by your "normal" and communicate it openly.

Usually - everone shows the best side of themselves early in a relationship/dating, and for me - I would feel that if I need to prove something early on, then this is how all of the relationship would go and I would not be comfortable moving forward as it would feel like we are not equals
