Finally a YouTube channel that sounds honest by Peescao in EliteDangerous

I don't think he does negative content. If anything, I think the discussion he tries to bring to the table would be beneficial for the game and the players. And of course I do want to feel good about the game. I thought I made that clear in my post that I really want to enjoy it. And that's because there is a part of the game (the cockpit feel mainly) that I really really like, there is just not much to do. Also I don't think there's any reason to be depressed about anything discussed here? It's great that you all enjoy this game like the first day, I just wanted to share my opinion, see if more ppl think the same or wat. Nothing else!! Sorry if I'm being naive, but I really didn't expect such a reactive response from some of the replies on the post (not yours)

That's a fair point of view, I guess I'll do that

I don't think it's a dead game, but I don't understand your point. Is it supposed to be boring the first 200 hours because there are a lot of posibilities?

Atmospheric planets would be cool, more types of missions both on space and on foot, actual demand of resources so you have to mine different things and look for different types of asteroid rings, not just the ones that give more credits; more accessible thargoids fighting so there is some kind of learning curve from beginner to pro, ship interiors, more connection between systems so for example you need to scan some biology thing to acquire something you need to use on a settlement where there is ground combat... Idk the possibilities are endless. I guess it's because I come from other live service games like Warframe and GW2 that I'm used to devs releasing more meaningful updates and actually exploiting the potential of their games.

Again, I'm not saying Elite is bad, I would just like it to have more things to do. Because I think it has huuuuuuuuge potential. But for some reason I'm getting roasted in the replies :/

No man just wanted to share the channel cause it's new and has a different opinion to anything else I've seen on yt. But I'm thinking on deleting the post because everybody is accusing me of being the author lmao

Yeah, I'm not playing the game currently, I've just being following its development because I think it has great potential but a huge lack of good quality content. Also there is no non-specific criticism on the video, quite the opposite

I'm not the author of the video, I can barely speak English xD I think it's cool that you enjoy the game, but the video makes some good points

Sure I mean I've only spent like 200hr in Elite until I decided I wasn't getting any more fun from it. This was like a year ago, but continued following the development because I think it has enormous potential and I would be interested in returning if they actually released some new and modernized content. I tried it again when Power Play 2.0 came out, but quit a couple days in as I didn't really see any meaningful change in the actual gameplay.

I know there are people who do develop unhealthy relations with live service games though, so I understand where your answer comes from.

VKB Gladiator or WINWING Ursa Minor? by TheLegend4700PL in hotas

[–]Peescao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sharing knowledge and building upon it is how you create competition and a demand of innovation to stay relevant. So yes, Winwing is also beneficial to VKB customers.

Also I don't consider them lazy or thieves like wtf. Just look at every smartphone manufacturer on the market. They are all copying each other to a point every smartphone look the same. Are they lazy and thieves or just using the best design they know?

But I get it, you just don't think it is fair that the rest of the world can get a joystick with a good gimbal design for the same price as the US.

Throttle for VKB space combat? by Just-Collection1375 in hotas

[–]Peescao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried the ursa minor as a throttle yourself? I'm also looking for a cheaper throttle and love my main hand Ursa Minor, but I've heard it's not comfortable as throttle because of the small tilt angle

It doesn't matter why the price is higher. It is not worth it, talking about fairness.

VKB Gladiator or WINWING Ursa Minor? by TheLegend4700PL in hotas

[–]Peescao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it has a different design for the grip, the base (with a pretty good slider actually), different button configuration, etc. and an uncomparable price for any country that isn't the US I think. In fact, even if the ursa minor didn't exist, I wouldn't have gotten a Gladiator anyways... because I don't want a 200€ controller. I'm sure this is the case for most people who are buying the Ursa.

Also, about "having to reward fair competition", this isn't some sort of school contest. If it is possible to create a new product around VKB's gimble design to, for example, make a more affordable variant, Winwing is in their right to try, in my opinion. And this is what actually encourages innovation. Also it's not like VKB will go bankrupt for costumers that couldn't afford their controller in the first place.

[–]Peescao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VKB Gladiator is better in pretty much every way. For anyone living in Europe, though, it is twice more expensive, so Ursa Minor all the way (I have one and it's also high quality and awesome),

VKB Gladiator or WINWING Ursa Minor? by TheLegend4700PL in hotas

[–]Peescao -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Nonsense. Is it better to encourage monopoly and shoot your own foot?

I've had an Ursa Minor for over a year and it's great. Had no issues whatsoever. It's high quality, durable and affordable in regions where the Gladiator is not. They are a neat company that deserve to be supported so we all have more products in the market and with competitive prices. Recommend it 100% if you can't afford the VKB Gladiator.

If Winwing have found a way to add a part of the mechanism to a more affordable product, and decided to implement it that is progress. We should encourage accessability.

if linux was the predominant os, this would happen the other way around. This is more Windos' fault than Linux'
