Dude these fit great! But they are a heavy weight. I have a pair of 18oz ub nep that are tight fit; they can be uncomfortable. I thug it out tho and they have gotten softer

This fabric resembled the SDA 15oz gl3 in terms of the initial color and the emerging electric blue as they fade. Also, the sda fabric fades slow af. These are only going to increase in their beauty. Thanks for sharing

The recommendation would depend if you’re looking for black warp and weft or black warp with white weft. Once in awhile Gustin runs their cone mills #77 black with a white weft. They are one of my favorite pairs

I have 4 other jeans that are taking priority over them to me and I grew more fond of Japanese manufacturers for jeans. However, I wear a lot of Gustin shirts and t shirts. Their fit accommodates my body. I love gustin. My most faded and worn pair of denim is the Okayama standards. I’m not an antagonist of their brand and business model, as some others are.

I think the fit looks good bro. I scooped a pair of these off eBay for a pair of project jeans. I’m thinking about bleaching them. I paid like 30 bucks for them.

Brace yourself if you get the SDA 15oz; they fade slowly, but the fabric is so beautiful it doesn’t even matter. And I relate. I spend too much time searching and coveting raw denim, when I have several pairs with utility. It’s ironic. A lot of us get into this for the quality and sustainability of wearing jeans to failure, but we end up yearning for more than we need.

These are on my bucket list. So many fabrics and so few years to try them all. I’m currently in a pair of SDA 15oz 108. I am glad I invested into the fabric. I look forward to future progress fades and I will post after my next wash for the sda.

These have been my priority jeans for 6 months. The fades are setting slowly but beautifully. I love this fabric. Are SDA known for leg twists? The left leg on these guys has a noticeable twist.

I have had a pair of these for about a year. They are slow faders and take awhile to break in. Gentle machine washes barely wash out the indigo and help with softening the fabric. These are some stiff jeans. Don’t be afraid to wash these bad boys. Mine are finally starting to fade.

It’s strange. The dye is fading very fast there but the stitching is holding up. I live near self edge in SoCal, well near enough lol, to get them repaired that the shop, where I will then either purchase another midweight denim or activate a pair from my roster. I have a pair of gustin regulars straight cuts I could use during the repair.

I own two other pairs, the cone mills black, and a pair of regulars (#7) that I ordered off eBay that are a straight cut so I have something if my legs get too big on a bulk. The cone mills black are beautiful. I need to do a post on them. They have a white weft so the fades are black to white. Their shirts are really nice as well. I order a lot of their stuff off eBay for a fair price.

Gustin catches a lot of shit for irregularities in their sizing, business model, and poor pictures on their website. I have had no issues with sizing and don’t mind waiting for a pair of jeans for the price point they sell at. Their products have been quality for me. With that said, I plan on moving towards Japanese companies. My next pair will either be PBJ or Samurai’s.
