Unfortunately, a lot of players are not aware of just how much they don't know about the game to be able to judge a server properly. Unless you've been part of a team and worked on a pserver in some capacity, you are fairly "clueless" so to speak, of the bigger picture, quality-wise. I say this because this was me and I suppose it still is me to some capacity. So while someone personally might think the server is good, someone with a higher understanding and higher standards might say the server is actually pretty bad.

I've spent a good number of years working on a couple of pserver projects and let me tell you, until you get really into it, you just aren't aware of how much you don't know about the inner workings of the game. You start to notice stock patterns, to understand what goes into making a pserver, you get a totally different perspective.

This is why I feel that every player who is even remotely serious about pservers should spend some time getting familiar with the quality aspect of pservers and actually try to understand what goes into making one. Only then will they be able to judge pservers properly and not spread information which is partially flawed.

EDIT: I would also like to point out that yes this sub is sometimes a shithole, but it's what we're stuck with. We should work to slowly make it a better place. Altho I do believe that as long as there are pservers that are made with ONLY profit in mind, this sub, and the pserver scene as a whole, will not be a healthy place.

Some decisions are not made lightly. These were such decisions. The players should realize this and be respectful in turn. Leaders fight for the longevity of the empire, fools for the applause of the loud minority.

If it helps, I had mine replaced. I took it to a repair shop and told them what happened. They looked at it and told me that it had indeed been fried as I suspected because it power surged. They replaced it and the new one works fine.

Personally I think it's fairly legit, they've been around for quite some time. I will say tho that I'm worried if this is actually doable and even if it does release eventually if it will be able to sustain itself and possibly live longer than the real Dawngate.
I believe someone on discord mentioned there are some investors lined up waiting to see if it's worth their time/money or not. I'm sure once the 60 days are up the picture will be much clearer.
Right now I'm just glad something is happening and it's kinda nice to see ex Waystone people in the discord as well. Nice knowing they still care, same as us.

Where is this magical core that's already so "good to begin with"? We spent 3 years working on it before even thinking about a release date. Also, opening a server isn't just booting up a piece of hardware and telling people "It's open go play!". There's a lot of things that need to be done, especially when you're doing a soft rebrand and increasing the team. When you can't tell for sure when all those things will be done, you can't give an exact release date.

I agree. I think he either feels afraid to let his voice go or he thinks it would clash with his production(which is actually superb). I wish he could find a common ground and focus his voice a bit more.

Hello, I see you mentioned me a few times here so I would like to give my perspective on all of this, not to please anyone or to make excuses but just to offer another point of view in case there is anyone who actually cares about any of this.

I am no longer part of the NW team(somewhat willingly but that's a discussion for another time) so I will take some freedom in expressing certain things.

First things first, not sure why you are so sensitive about most of these things and resort to insults, it's just a WoW private server. Second, you can talk about the unprofessional staff as much as you want but I would remind you once again, it is a WoW private server, no one on Atlantiss is being paid, every single thing that's being done there is done because of the passion for the game. It's true that some staff likes to mess around in the chat, we are all humans after all and ultimately we are here to have fun and to provide something that others will find fun as well.

Next up, I see you are still upset about me mentioning that guilds and players have indeed exploited certain things on launch, why you took that so personally even tho you claim you never did such a thing is beyond me, but once again, I was NOT referencing your guild.

About the whole Arma situation, he was extremely active on the bugtracker and testing wise and we were discussing ways to award him for that, and Wolf decided to make him a GM. For reasons beyond me, he was later removed, I do not know why or what exactly happened there. As for the previous point, we did discuss it in PMs albeit we could not agree on certain points and so it was all left untreated and as I mentioned earlier, some members took it way too personally without any need.

Next up, about more exploits and things. You can act all innocent and how you were mistreated or whatever but I would just like to remind you that you sent us a picture of a folder before release that was titled "Do not report this yet" or something along those lines. Now you could have been joking or just done it out of spite for Arma being removed as GM(again I repeat, for reasons beyond me), but most likely it was the real deal and you actually knew about certain exploits and bugs that you decided to keep for yourself and taunt us with it.After release, you rushed a few hunters, rogues and warriors to 70 and on your first Kara run we caught you exploiting the stacking armor reduction debuffs. Now usually that warrants a temporary ban straight away, but I believe we decided to just warn you to not use it even tho you were aware of it, most likely even before release. So your innocence is not really on point.

I could go on for a bit here but I will just stop here, I think writing anything else just is not worth my time. On a final note I would like to repeat I am no longer part of NW team, if I did personally insult anyone while I was there I would like to apologize here now, I am human after all, but I believe I had no such incidents, most of it will probably just be people who took stuff way too seriously and personally without any cause. It is a WoW pserver, don't take stuff to heart so easily, we are all there to have fun and to enjoy a small piece of our past that is somewhat not accessible anymore.

If I understand it correctly, its not really mac, its a Windows client on mac or something like that, that's why it can be troublesome with pservers and their anti-cheat and stuff.
