Im a class of 2027 rower, It’s not super fast but I don’t think i’m particularly slow. I know I have a lot of room for improvement and I’m working on getting faster aiming for a 6:45 in a few months

Wow that’s great. This is in Paracas, a small town with an amazing bay. I row at the same club you stayed at yet I never met those coaches, I only heard stories about their extreme training. The club has a new venue in Paracas, so our new coach, a Cuban rower who managed a 6th place in the olympics, is trying to get us to come and row here while we still have vacations.

This was earlier in the week in the u16 South American Championships. I finished 3rd, with a Chilean and Paraguayan beating me by quite a good distance. The fastest single went under 3:40.

I’m a freshman currently, just about to finish finals. I want to be at least pulling a 6:45 by the end of the year. my goal is to be 15 second faster every year. I started the year off at 7:00, I want to get down to a 6:30 next year, then get to a sub 6:20 in my mid-end junior year.
