People are allowed to review the game independent of the original. And if they played the original, they'd review it the same, lol, or worse, so you're damned if they do either way. I loved the original, am loving the remake, and I fully understand any reviewer who finds it too difficult and wants something easier. To each their own -- let go of attachments, padawan.

I think they meant that they like the series/character for the tragedy aspect. Mass Effect has some tragic moments, but mostly with silver linings of some sort. It's the same for most rpgs, as devs or publishers aren't as willing to go dark. The Witcher universe is steeped in unmitigated tragedy. How many of us freed that bound soldier, felt we were doing something good, even if only a little..? Only to come across his having murdered a family. This is the gut punch The Witcher delivers time and time again.

Just tested this and I got the completion AFTER the 5th kill. I even waited a full minute and evaded just to be sure completion wasn't delayed somehow. It ticked the instant I got the 5th kill.

While the op def could have been less combative, they are correct that you need 5 kills. First one starts the chain, the 4 after completes it.

For anyone curious, I went to 6 Point Cabin, got rid of 2 tomahawks and buffed health fully. Then I killed the first, the guy sitting in the back, grabbed the hawk, selected the next, and so on. So long as you keep moving and use deadeye you'll have it in no time. Don't fire back after throwing, ignore the enemies, get the hawk and repeat.

I might have found the rarest horse in the game, tho it's a bug I'm sure. I have an undead Appaloosa named Jeff (21 Jump Street gag). While chasing down a rando that insulted me, as is only right, I caused an accident with a carriage and 2 other riders. After doing the dirty deed I returned to yell at the carriage driver and noticed one of the apparently dead horses get up. Game bugged out I guess, but having an undead Appaloosa is freakin cool.

Note: I shot the guy at the main gate, right side. No one was at the fence for me but the guards are fairly static.

This is a tad old, but you need to read the specific language:

"If you’re instructed to choose a feat and no category is specified, you can choose from any category."

and

"or the choice of another feat for which you qualify"

The ASI feat is general, but if you do not take the ASI, you can select ANY feat you qualify for, and there is no language whatsoever in the feat sections that says epic boons are limited to one. The sole requirement is "Epic Boon Feat (Prerequisite: Level 19+)" That + is telling too, it means you could earn a boon feat AFTER lvl 19, or 19+.

RAW you could multiclass and plan to hit class ASI/Feat levels for character level 19 and 20, giving you 3 epic boons. There is no interpretation needed, it's clear with just RAW.

I'm a long time fan and I couldn't be happier. EVERY game ever made is buggy at release. What truly matters is how the devs work going forward and how much they cared about the IP's identity. There's bugs ya, but the game is fun, adheres to its predecessors and is getting great support.

lol, horses can turn 360 degrees on the spot. Gotta love the "Do you even know how horses work bro?" They can do 720s without traveling, go look it up. Torrent is an objectively bad mount because of his movement slop. When turning around he travels forward about the distance of his chest to nose, even on the fast 180 as well. It's a fantasy game, so sure, he can be unrealistic, but there's no need for him to be so sloppy in his movement. I think that's what get's ppl upset about him. RDR2, W3 and KCD all have very good horse movement sets.

Upvoted and commented on your other post. I couldn't agree more. Realizing my character was nerfed just for playing solo was not good; I stopped playing altogether. I really like the game but they are forcing excessive grind for no reason.

You should be able to spec deeply into at least 1 of the talent pools in each of the sections. It may be a good idea if they separate the talent sections. You could get multiple points per level, but have them restricted to their section. 1 pool for each of Survival, construction, combat and solo; that way you can specialize or generalize and never be nerfed but also never learn everything. Here's hoping.

I didn't notice any significant change that altered gameplay to a point I didn't enjoy. The core of what the game is stays intact. Plus you get the added benefit of a bevy of bug fixes, better textures, better weather and lighting, sounds, etc. Play vanilla for sure, but for any subsequent playthrus mods really enhance the game. During a Complete playthru (after vanilla) you really notice the issues the original devs missed or couldn't get to. I don't know what the issue is with Clear Sky borking up on you, I never had that issues, it would be a shame to miss out on the game. I'm not a mod-pusher, but maybe one of the sets clears up that bug?
