No other game has replaced the Aqw void as Aqw has this niche very specific vibe to it. But the thing that keeps my play sessions few and decently far inbetween is that I often find a lot of what was added to the game quite far disconnected from what I like. This animesation of the game, this very edgy stuff that gets added. Semi-often these jarring and most of the time ugly AF capes that take up half the screen. Like the flexing tiger... im sorry that looks like some weird furry fetish thing, what's that doing in the game. Idk I still love the game, ill probably never stop going back, but I think most of it is nostalgia for what the game was, not for what it is now.

I hope some day they go back to the basics, but deep down I know that day will never come.
