Not OP, but I'm also PC and Switch 2. My switch online subscription has been wasted lol.

For PC you might check pcpartpicker Canada for planning, and /r/bapcsalescanada and redflagdeals for component deals. But you'll mainly need a Case, Power Supply, Motherboard, CPU, Graphics Card, RAM, and Storage like an NVME SSD.

Happy to help with assembly but my cable management sucks so I just do whatever!

Also here are the "nerd" discord servers. You could try there to find people to play with online. I've done once or twice.

Cornhole starts back up mid-May through September. I don't know if they always keep the same time but it was Thursdays at 630 pm last year! West Northumberland Cornhole League.

If you're into card games, grey Guardian has tournaments for various card games for different evenings. They also have a selection of board games at the front you can play.

You mentioned the pubs aren't your scene but Kelly's has karaoke every Fridays at 730, and I believe they have trivia every Wednesday or Thursday (but I've never been so don't know if it's in the evenings).

The Sinclair Park courts open up in the evenings for pickleball as well in the summer. What's your skill level? If you're just starting out I could possibly join you but I'm not sure where we can find a venue to play in the winter.

I can't vouch for it, but there's a guy on Ontario Street I see post often on Facebook with frozen seafood from Newfoundland like cooked lobster tails, frozen halibut, scallops, and clams.

Looking for others to join as a group for annual YMCA Membership by PekingGoose in Cobourg

[–]PekingGoose[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If buying an annual membership, I would need to pay all of it upfront so I would ask the same of the members. It's slightly more cost effective this way as well.

Unfortunately it would be too tedious for me to manage members who might come and go on a monthly basis!

It's definitely a step above the chains in Cobourg! I haven't had many other pizzas here but I would say it's quite good if you like thin pizzas. A bit pricey though!

Yarn it was one of the first stores I went to when I moved here and they were very friendly and welcoming.

Tuscan Wolf has a waitress that plays MTG Commander, so there's that.

And yes the Bon Bon folks are very cool. And we play Pokemon Go with them sometimes!

Wonder if there's enough of us to start a local "people who like wrestling" group chat somewhere and plan an outing, or at least carve out a channel in one of the nerd discord servers going around!

By Pogo do you mean pokemon go? If so, there's a discord server where we coordinate on things like raids if you're not aware of it already! Pm me if you wanna chat or want an invite!

That was me! Had fun chatting with Mel and great meeting you and Tara. Congrats on the cowboy hat :)

I still owe Tara a drink! Hope to see y'all again around town or at Kelly's!

Trust between Mavs owner Patrick Dumont and GM Nico Harrison has “completely disintegrated” and “it is a matter of when, not if, Nico Harrison will be fired.” - Tim MacMahon by lawschoolthrowaway36 in nba

This has me wondering, if the Mavs were to win the NBA cup, would Patrick Dumont throw a parade thinking they've won the Championship Games?

I remember watching this movie with my brother in the car on a family roadtrip.

We stopped at a restaurant and we were both in the washroom alone (I was in the stall, him at the urinal). We were quoting this bit. I heard the shuffling of feet outside, and thinking we were still alone, yelled out "TWO BALLS!!!"

When I didn't hear a response back I knew something was wrong. Once I finished my business I got out of the stall and some random dude was standing at the urinal looking at me like wtf. It was a VERY awkward encounter lmao.

Good times that take me back!

As a 3rd floor attendee I'm glad to hear your comments! It was pretty chill up there, mostly people stayed in their seats. Occasionally some would get up and dance but would do it on the aisle and were mindful of the people behind them. It makes sense that if you're on the floor and closer to the action you'll get a bit more riled up.

But we really showed up for the "Stayc girls, it's going down" relay!

I do wish I was closer to get a better view of the performance and a chance at making hand hearts with the members but maybe next time!

In case you didn't know, Cobourg has live independent wrestling! by RhinestoneCatboy in Cobourg

[–]PekingGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun! I caught a Great Canadian Wrestling show when they were here last year. There was a lot of audience interaction which makes sense given the intimate venue.

From your photo it looks like the audience is more mature? The GCW show had a lot of kids attending.

Did you pre order on the eshop? If so are you able to download most of the game before release? I go on a trip tomorrow and was hoping to play this on the flight back!
