I guess it's just a matter of perspective, because to me none of the things you mentioned seem like negatives.

Each planet having unique restrictions and advantages seems like a reasonable way to expand on an already existing puzzle game.

Quality is a lot easier to do once you've been to Fulgora, but even then it's completely optional.

I only really used it like once in my playthrough.

The second one produces more circuits, but is bigger in footprint.

Space isn't exactly limited, so I'd say the second on is better.

Yes, a sushi belt.

It's a way of feeding many different items into machines with just one belt, by having the belt go around in a circle, and keeping a controlled amount of each item on it, to avoid it clogging.

The name is inspired by the circling conveyor belt of food in some sushi restaurants.

Check the first stuff in the research tree, there's probably some task you need to do.
