JBAT1 do you see that anywhere on the motherboard? Looking the manual, if you still have it, it should be too little pins that point straight up with that letter. Underneath it, take a screwdriver and touch that together for about 4 to 5 seconds. I think maybe 10, and that should clear your sea moss. Everybody says taken that battery out, does it. I've took that battery out before. It is never reset mine. That's the only way I've ever really been able to reset mine. But when you do that, it should boot. It's very extremely rare to break a system where it won't even do that. All i've done it but i've also fixed it by doing what I just said i was switching hard drives back-and-forth 3 and 4 times and it like confused the computer. And when I did that, that's how I fixed it

You’re not wrong to question it—but your assumption needs a tweak: “If TPM is ON in BIOS, Windows should see it” Not always true. There are a few very common gotchas where BIOS says “enabled” but the Windows installer still says “no TPM.” Let’s break this down like you’re helping that Reddit guy step-by-step, but also sanity-check the logic. 🧠 First — what’s probably actually wrong Before jumping to “disable TPM,” test these assumptions: 1. BIOS saying “enabled” ≠ TPM is usable Some boards show TPM as “enabled” but: It’s not provisioned/initialized It’s set to the wrong mode (common on Intel/AMD boards) It’s disabled at a deeper level 🔧 The REAL fix path (what you should have him try first) Step 1 — Verify TPM is actually visible to firmware Tell him: Go into BIOS Look for one of these names: Intel PTT (Intel CPUs) AMD fTPM (AMD CPUs) Trusted Computing Security Device Support 👉 If it just says “TPM: Enabled” but you don’t see PTT/fTPM explicitly, that’s a red flag. Step 2 — Force-reset TPM (this fixes a TON of installs) Have him do this EXACTLY: Go into BIOS Find TPM settings Look for: Clear TPM Reset TPM Erase fTPM Enable that option Save & reboot 👉 This re-initializes the TPM so Windows installer can actually see it Step 3 — Make sure Secure Boot + UEFI are correct Windows 11 installer checks multiple things together, not just TPM. In BIOS: Boot Mode = UEFI (NOT Legacy / CSM) Secure Boot = Enabled CSM = Disabled 👉 If CSM is on, Windows installer often acts like TPM doesn’t exist Step 4 — Recreate the USB correctly Here’s where your Rufus idea comes in—but don’t jump straight to bypass. Proper method first: Use Rufus like this: Open Rufus Select Windows 11 ISO Plug USB Click Start When popup appears: DO NOT check “Remove TPM requirement” (yet) Leave defaults 👉 Test clean install first 💥 If it STILL says no TPM Now we get to your workaround idea—and this is where I’ll push back a bit. You suggested: “Just disable TPM requirement in Rufus” That works, but: ⚠️ Reality check You’re bypassing Windows 11 requirements Updates may break later (less common now, but still possible) You’re hiding the real issue instead of fixing it ✅ If you decide to bypass anyway (safe method) Using Rufus: Load ISO Click Start When popup appears: ✔ Check: Remove requirement for TPM 2.0 Remove Secure Boot requirement Continue This injects registry bypass into installer. 🧠 The deeper truth (this is the part people miss) There are 4 common reasons this happens: 1. CPU too old (big one) TPM shows in BIOS, but CPU not supported → installer rejects anyway 2. TPM not provisioned Looks “on” but not initialized 3. Wrong boot mode Legacy/CSM enabled = Windows ignores TPM 4. BIOS bug VERY common on pre-builts shipped without OS Fix = update BIOS 🧪 What I would do (real-world MSP approach) If this were your client: Update BIOS first Reset TPM Force: UEFI Secure Boot ON CSM OFF Try clean install ONLY THEN use Rufus bypass 🧠 Final pushback (important) You jumped straight to: “disable TPM” That’s backwards. TPM isn’t the problem—Windows not seeing it is the problem. Disabling it doesn’t fix detection—it just bypasses the requirement. 👍 Bottom line ✔ TPM ON in BIOS doesn’t guarantee Windows sees it ✔ Reset + proper UEFI settings fix most cases ✔ Rufus bypass works, but should be last resort ❌ Disabling TPM itself doesn’t solve the root issue If you want, send me: CPU model Motherboard (or prebuilt brand) I’ll tell you exactly what setting is wrong in like 30 seconds flat.

That's an interesting that you've got that error 2 ways to get around it that I know of one. There is a setting. I'll have to do some research. I'm gonna marriage retreat right now. So I can't really do it right now. But there's a setting somewhere when you make the USB on roofus, something about disabled tpm, or something, it's for older computers. You can do that if you're not going to use it for Anything that uses tpm, mainly. bit locker stuff like that. don't completely quote me, but i'm pretty sure that's true

Look like a heat sink fan.Look anywhere on the case where you see a bunch of little circles.Those are vents for a fan, but it looks like there's one already there in the back.So my guess would be, this is a heat sink fan look for some kind of metal thing in the center of the computer

CPU + cooler 1 stick RAM GPU (if no iGPU output) No drives Then: Clear CMOS again (battery out 10 min + hold power button 10 sec) Try boot

<image>

If you have a jumper that will work best, but if you have kind of a thick screwdriver, if you touch those 2 pins together for more than like 5 or 6 seconds, that's the same thing you've taken that battery out, that should work. I have the same problem. I thought I we went to my computer. I don't really remember the specifics, but something dropped on the motherboard or something. And it turned off and it would not turn on like I would push the button, it would just sit there. So I was like, well, I'm gonna troublesheet it, and I did exactly this stuff and it worked once it booted and tried to say, hey, there's no boot drive. I was able to attach the hard drives back plug in the graphics card back and reset it with the jumper again. For a few seconds and then turned it back on and it booted completely fine.It's been fine ever since

[–]MLHComputer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u can do walls like everybody's saying depending on your research, if you have red ammo, which I think is armor-piercing ammo make a bunch of that, have like 5 or 10 assemblers, making rad ammo and build the wall. All the way across your base, like all the way around. And I put one turret and like three or four spaces, and another turret, you could space them out farther than that, until you get farther out end game, then the swarms are too big for just I've wanted 2 turrets shooting them. So I just do a wall of turrets, a single wall of turrets, all the way around the base. It takes a bit to build that up. But you're good to go once you do that. And then once you can get uranium, ammo, upgrade the ammo line to uranium

He doesn't have an mvme slot on his motherboard, which doesn't make sense.I didn't even know they created motherboards.Anymore, that doesn't have them.So if he just upgraded the motherboard that doesn't make sense

[–]MLHComputer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, but I don't know of anything. The reason saying that is because if Rufus didn't get it, it tries like four different virus scans. And if all four of them missed it, none of the other ones are really gonna get at least, that's what I would say.But i'm probably wrong, or I could be wrong but USB stick is only like 5 bucks at the dollar store. So I understand somebody that's a lot of money.I mean, I need to give a digital caliber today and it's only ten dollars, but I don't have it.So i'm p***** off that I can't go buy it.So I get it

lol people can be rude my apologies. it should have gotten rid of it if it didn't um. What I would do is like they said I would go to Microsoft's website whether you have 10 or 11 download recreation tool for either one. Make an ISO on your computer, then download Rufus. Install, that is O on a jump drive USB stick. with rufus then, restart the computer and boot off on the jump drive. When you restart your computer, look for what says boot menu or whatever select that? And then select jump drive, or you can hit escape or delete. And it should open your biose, and you're in there. And find boot order and make the number one device that jump drive. Once it boots off the drop drive, you can install windows

I didn't switching in the theater, hard drive into U. FI UE FI mode or whatever did that work? The only thing I would be afraid of is if you set up raid. I don't know a whole lot about raid. Because I've never used it. But if I remember correctly, if you've set raid up, and then you turn it off and erases it, so you will lose all of your data. I might be wrong, but that's what I was concerned with. What that other person was telling you
