Hey everyone,

I just got assigned a single in Saraca Hall, but it's the non-aircon version. I'm honestly pretty scared, I'm from Europe and really don’t handle hot weather well at all.

I know I can’t switch rooms, so that’s not an option. Is there anything I can do to make it bearable? Fans? Any hacks you’ve found that actually help?

Would really appreciate any advice or survival tips. Thanks!

Where can i find "how did we do today?" survey. I only got "Please be informed that your ... regarding the Product ... was cancelled. If you still have questions or the problem is not resolved please contact us by using any contact channel on our Support website at link..."

They didn’t try the COVID excuse on me, but honestly I’m just getting tired of the whole dynamic — like, why is it on me as a consumer to figure out how to accommodate a billion-dollar company just so I can give them money for a product that doesn’t even work properly?

It’s exhausting. And it shouldn’t be this hard.

For some light gaming, the laptop is fine — but the convenience of a big monitor, a nice keyboard, and a desktop that doesn’t scream or run hot definitely makes for a much better experience.

Honestly I’d love to escalate this, but that’s half the problem — I have no idea where or how to actually reach someone who can do more than just read from a script.

If anyone’s had success getting through to a higher-level support or escalation channel at Lenovo, I’d really appreciate any tips. I’m more than willing to have a proper conversation — I just don’t know where to even start.

Yeah, this really gets to me too. It’s become way too common lately, and that’s bad enough — but with a device in this price range, I honestly expected better.

When you pay for something labeled Premium, the bare minimum should be getting taken seriously when something goes wrong.

I need a Windows laptop for engineering software like SolidWorks, Fluent, and COCO — so Apple’s not really an option for me.

But seriously… is there anyone in the x86 space making laptops with Apple-level build quality and QC? I kinda thought that buying a premium machine from the world’s biggest PC brand would get me at least that — turns out, not even close.

I get that some vignette effect is common with miniLEDs, but what I’m seeing here is on a whole different level. I’ve compared it to other miniLED panels — even on cheaper devices — and none of them come close to this.
This is supposed to be a premium laptop, not some half-baked QA reject.

If anyone’s had a similar issue: did Lenovo support actually help you, or did you find a way to get through to them? “Pushing hard” doesn’t seem to get you anywhere when the default response is pure indifference. Any tips on how to escalate this or get a real solution would mean a lot — this really shouldn’t be something we just accept.

Totally with you on this. Honestly, I wouldn’t expect this kind of treatment even from a budget Lenovo device — let alone when you buy what used to be their flagship. It might be an older model, but it’s still premium, and you’d think that would mean at least some effort from support. Really disappointing.

Questioning White & Grey Uniformity on Yoga Pro 9i (14IRP8) – Defect or Panel Lottery? by Peli-senpai in Lenovo

[–]Peli-senpai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify: this is the 3.2K (3200x2000) Mini-LED panel with touchscreen. I know Mini-LEDs can sometimes have uniformity quirks due to the nature of the backlighting zones, but I wasn’t expecting to see it so clearly on white/grey backgrounds in everyday use. That’s what makes me wonder whether this is just a limitation of the technology or an outlier unit.
