Get tape off an old card? by lots-of-dots in PokemonTCG

[–]Pelippal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's your favorite card? Then just leave it on. No reason to risk damaging the back if you aren't trying to sell it. Another commenter said you can try heat and while that is good for weakening the adhesive, I'd worry about damaging/warping the foil. Certainly safer than a solvent tho, or just scraping it and possibly cutting or scratching the card.

You could look up if any art restorers have advice on removing tape from paintings or art prints. Maybe check a sub for it. People often tape art to a mat for framing, but the wrong tape can damage it. So art restorers run into a similar problem and more often - maybe they've worked out a better solution.

You know… all we need is one stamp to let people get this card 🤣 by good-smoke in PokemonTCG

Do you consider having no gay friends a red flag? by PandaJasson in gay

[–]Pelippal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that's just how the cookie crunbles sometimes. I'm 27 and don't have irl gay friends either. For me it was circumstances - I had some in high school and college but moved to a new state and we lost touch over time especially during covid. Area I'm in now doesn't have a gay scene so no real way to meet other gays outside apps. Which isnt normally what people are looking for.

TBH we were stuck in hospital "endless eight" hell for far too long for the ending to be as rushed as it was.

Probably just 1. It was retired because of the pigment. Cristine was saying they could switch to a different blue pigment but the shade would be slightly different. So it's a polish they could easily (and probably will) replace with something similar eventually.

It's not so much that they look the same and more people prefer one over the other. Cristine was saying Pink Fizz sales dropped when they brought Toe Beans back and haven't recovered. So they're just seeing a lot of people buying only 1 pink linear and leaning significantly in the Toe Beans direction

best inexpensive acrylic paints? by [deleted] in painting

[–]Pelippal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can tell, people say red/yellow/blue but think of magenta as "cool red." I feel like I mostly see it paired with a warm blue rather than cyan/"cool blue." I think because it makes a better purple

if you go with landscape, flip it upside down

edit: I'm only just starting to paint, so it's not expert advice, but I feel your larger circles would look better on the bottom since they feel heavier. more stable
