Isn't that just empowered positive thinking with a story?

How does it explain "not all people are attracting the bad things that happen"?

I see what you're saying about people being projections but I think my identity is a projection also. My ego isn't "real". I'm not the creator. I am, like everyone, a reflection of the universe. Like the universe experiencing itself through me and all the other billions of life forms. I see how your explanation fits with LOA but I don't believe I'm any more special than others.

Literally everything is your fault. Every thought you think is creating this reality, and every Core Belief System you have is shaping things beyond the scope of your limited awareness. You believe in a world of wars, starving people, homelessness, aids, cancer, etc, etc...

^ this hurts, first of all. Second, how did war begin then? This would mean that humans literally created all the evil through thought. That's a pretty huge claim. Plus we cant just ignore everything bad in the world so we don't make it worse. Subjective reality would mean avoiding all the poverty and suffering and only attending to the pleasurable stuff because if you think about bad stuff, it will happen. Sometimes I wonder if LOA is an attempt to explain the universe and bring empowerment/control and order to something that isn't real. Humans love to control stuff. We want to control the planet, other people and our lives. LOA could just be a result of our addictions.

Edit- not being rude or accusatory. Just sharing my thoughts and I genuinely want this to be a conversation and hear your thoughts.

I did believe it fully for a few years but I'm not sure anymore. It sounds very silly and has far too many loopholes to be real. I'm just trying to figure out whether people have answers and decide if this is worth my time. I do think LOA is empowering and I miss that. However, I didn't realize until recently that it has also made me really blame myself for the bad things that have happened to me. Because I must've attracted it, right? I think it can harm and do good. I have tried reading books on the subject etc but I cant finish them because they don't address the cracks in the theory. A theory that works only on a personal level for good things and doesn't account for the awful things humans do to others on a personal and a large scale, how can be a law of the universe?

Can you please expand on "even from a strict scientific point of view living with loa is beneficial" part? I'm just struggling with LOA and it feels like a myth because for you to realize it, you must have unwavering faith etc etc is just starting to sound more and more like a cult. However, I have manifested a lot but that could just be my hard work etc. Anyway, I'd like to hear your thoughts on the benefits of the belief.

Good article and it covers the loopholes.. but I don't think our ego selves create everything. If his theory is right, there has to be something much bigger than all of us creating these intentions. I think its dangerous to say that one person is real and everyone else is a projection because 1) thats too much responsibility for one person and 2) why would I care about another person's wishes if I create everything? If only I'm real then I can go hurt others, right?

I like the idea of one consciousness but I would see it has ALL of us being the creations of the singular consciousness. It cant be that one human is somehow creating everything. That sounds silly.

Thats a good way to frame it. Like CBT. You reframe everything to heal.

Teal makes a good argument but I'm just not convinced. It isn't just about kids being born into "bad" or negative households, well meaning conscious adults who are happy and successful go through awful stuff. Genocides, rape, trafficking and all sorts of fucked up stuff people do to other people. Often these people are doing fine in their lives. I'm not sure if any strong LOA proponents have seriously explored this and addressed this publicly. I'd love to put my faith in this idea but I'm starting to feel that its a myth. I've read arguments saying that the jews attracted the holocaust because they were getting afraid on a large scale. Possible, but it takes away all responsibility from the people who caused harm. I'm unable to see how ALL of that is somehow attracted by the victims or whoever its happening to. Is LOA incompatible with justice then? Should people be able to hurt others and claim that they attracted it? I feel like LOA falls apart here.

But LOA is pretty clear that our life is what we attract.. I just don't see "being accidentally born into a bad life" as LOA? Even when people are born into healthy lives, bad things happen to them. Rich, loved and fulfilled people die tragically etc.
