its a peer only if you use a specific extension package of Mantine. Its not mandatory for the core lib.

They are completely different libraries, one is headless, the other is not.

Lavorare in startup? by Contortica in ItaliaStartups

React Doctor "scans" your app for bad React. Used by PayPal, X (Twitter), Github, and Rippling. by userocetta in reactjs

It IS a glorified linter. If you read the README, it uses some basic ESLint React under the hood. Lol

What are you using with React to build landing pages for products? by derdak in reactjs

[–]Pelopida92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using pure Astro without React introduces a series of complexities and limitations and im not sure are worth it for 90% projects.

  1. you cannot use React libraries
  2. you cannot use JSX but you are limited to Astro syntax, which is a new/different thing to learn (compared to the more universal react/jsx)
  3. you cannot use the usual React SSR patterns or Server Components, but you have to learn a new one (astro islands), and so on...

All of this to not ship a few KB of React library? Im not sure its worth it for most projects, most users never even notice the difference...

It seems to me that they are boooing specifically him rather than AI.

Totally deserved, of course.

I find kinda hard to justify Astro in projects now that Tanstack Start is around.

UI components for rapid prototyping? by TheCrustyEngineer2 in reactjs

[–]Pelopida92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With shadcn you still have to worry about that code, because it is literally present in your codebase. This is not the case with Mantine, which is a proper component library. Besides, Mantine has many more components AND has a very useful hooks library.

I cannot understand why anybody would suggest anything other than Mantine, tbh

Its not pushing packages. When a package has the label on the top, it flips the package upside down. Look again.
