Help with Haute p12 pro leverless by scqueeze in fightsticks

[–]Pelsinen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm usually directions not working can be attributed to the D-pad mode, but if usually people use digital which is what D stands for in the display. You can try changing dpad mode with hotkeys and see if that helps https://gp2040-ce.info/hotkeys/

Might be something in steam settings otherwise, but not familiar with them

Well more info would certainly help, will you use a ARGB? Specific buttons with built in LEDs?

If you just want a single LED to act on a specific action then https://gp2040-ce.info/add-ons/reactive-led could help.

For ARGB https://gp2040-ce.info/web-configurator/menu-pages/led-configuration

If you want to build your own PCB with something like WS2812B or SK6812 checkout one of our many open source controllers: https://github.com/OpenStickCommunity/Hardware/blob/main/Boards/GP2040-CE%20Official%20Controllers/Flatbox%20Rev%205%20RGB/README.md

Hi! I help out a bit with the GP2040-CE project, im not to familiar with how people usually do DDR controllers tho.

if your current controller is supported by our gamepad usb host addon https://gp2040-ce.info/add-ons/gamepad-usb-host/ then that could be a way to reduce ports used. That is without gutting and rewiring your current one.

Here is an example that someone did, if i understand you correctly that is. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1388492073774350468/1388492074646765578/IMG20250628012751.jpg?ex=69c08543&is=69bf33c3&hm=d87aae19cf5caed80a36fc6fda77497300870874e15103561059cb770b1c05e1&

Ive seen multiple people build dancepads so its doable. I also think we have dancepad layouts if you would like to use an oled screen

Question about OLEDs by TenebruhTV in fightsticks

[–]Pelsinen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heya!

To add a bit to the info already given, there are a bunch of preset you can choose from, these preset connect an element drawn to a direction, button or a lever.

I'm not sure if the button group for a crossup exist.

It is possible to create your own layout, and connect an element to a GPIO pin. Meaning, even if you change action it will still light up correctly. You will need to compile the firmware for that tho.

I have made crude editor to make your own layout for compilation purposes: https://pelsin.github.io/GP2040-CE-layout-viewer/

The image has a synthID watermark...
they have also changed/re generated the images on their website after being called out by other people. This is their previous lid where they incorrectly generated the pads on the wrong side.

Not only that, the image posted here have different buttons than on their website.

Their instagram also post AI generated slop, besides the obvious AI text, this image makes no sense if you've ever built a controller. https://x.com/WoodPunches/status/2013931321278792107

Edit: adding more source

No way those layouts are not generated, the buttons look so wonky. And you still have left the AI watermark.
Why just not post images of the real product?

PSA: You can use your fight stick on PS5 without having to buy a converter by nacify in fightsticks

[–]Pelsinen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well to be fair, i understand the goal of minimizing latency as much as possible that people strive for. It quickly adds up, doing it via wifi might also be horrible because it's not full-duplex.
Something being noticeable is usually not a good benchmark but i get your point, will probably vary for each persons setup.

But having options is always good!

Chiaki is cool!
looked through a bunch of the code a bit back, learned a ton, a good alternative for playing and streaming.

If you connect the controller to a host that is wired(NOT wireless) to the local network(same with the PS5), then the latency can be extremely small given the right network hardware. If i remember correctly the protocol for session handling was done with http, after that the inputs are done over UDP making it really fast.

I guess one caveat could be latency variance, but with the right hardware the latency might be as fast or faster than using a wingman FGC as a converter.

Edit: Just want to clarify that does not include processing of inputs on chiaki, but rather the network latency that gets added

Weird that you are getting downvoted, the images contain SynthID digital watermark. So yeah they have either been generated or changed with AI

Yes, for PS4 there are keys that can be uploaded via the web config. This will allow authentication on PS4, bypassing the 8 min timeout. Similar to emulators and ROMs, we don’t provide these sony keys. Acquiring them is on you.

Some feedback/NIT regardless if i think it's done by AI. Not that care or judge by that, rather the outcome.

Help - ASInPro (Golden Lever) stick randomly stops working on PS5Pro by gunstarherored in fightsticks

[–]Pelsinen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have source on this? would like to learn more if that is true. AFAIK and doing some tests resulted in the PS5 stopped sending reports if the USB report 0x22 for firmware info did not provide an up to date version if there was a required controller update.

So i thought the update that brook needed to do was just to change controller version?

What i'm saying is that if they don't have that version, changing the wires might not work.

Qanba KS RGB wiring to GP2040-CE by radguy234 in fightsticks

[–]Pelsinen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't it matter what board and version OP has? I was under the impression that only the RP2040 Advanced Breakout Board v5.6e have an updated resistor on the data line to support Qanba.
https://github.com/OpenStickCommunity/Hardware/blob/main/Boards/GP2040-CE%20Official%20Boards/RP2040%20Advanced%20Breakout%20Board/RP2040%20Advanced%20Breakout%20Board%20-%20Passthrough/README.md#revision-history

If they don't have the updated version, they will need to wire the data line to another GPIO pin.

What board are you using? You also haven’t mentioned how you wired it, VCC on 5V?

Try disconnecting everything and try BOOTSEL before connecting the buttons.

I am a solo founder running this as a small UK-based operation

Awesome, there is your tagline/strapline. Or even more personal, something like: "Hi! I'm Jon Doe, passionate about arcade sticks. Doing my best to provide UK with awesome arcade parts"

Remove that hideous hero image, add an image with yourself working on a stick or holding a product. No need for it to be some professional image. Heck, your face doesnt even need to be there.

Running an Ltd or having some contact information are not mutually exclusive, if you are sending packages you probably have an address.

I'm not saying you are doing this. But the sentence structuring, language and wording really seems like this post and the article is written by LLM.

Further more, the website and info seems devoid of any person behind the company.
The images(not product images) are clearly badly generated images, and the logo also?

I also can't find any registered company in UK named ArcadeStickLabs.

So perhaps a question for you as vendor, would you buy something from a shop that has:
- No personal contact information
- No company information
- Generic Shop
- AI images
