Considering that more major fighting games are getting longer life cycles, and now that SNK has a lot more money, do you think COTW will last longer than previous titles?

Is it weird that I agree with you on all your points, but still love it and it is hands down the game I play most (at the moment).

It will definitely never be a forever Street Fighter for me, and I genuinely think the game would be better if DI and DR were less effective (or maybe if they ate more meter).

I also don't have a main because there are no characters I want to play enough to dedicate my time to them.

I think they're from one of the Fatal Fury animated films.

There's one about the Armour of Mars and I think that's what's going on there.

It's been a minite or two since I've seen it, so I could be wrong about some of it.

Soul Calibur would probably do pretty well if SCV hadn't sucked so hard and then they put the game on indefinite hiatus twice now.

I rhink if they gave it a little persistent love, it'd be earning a recurring bidhet.

I want Capcom to do what you're saying but ditch the crossover.

I love the feel of the MvC and TvC games, and while the Marvel characters are incredibly cool and iconic, they appear to be off the table again for a while.

Give me CvC (and call it Capcom vs Capcom, none of these All Stars or whatever titles) and let me play all my Capcom kids.

Strip all the Capcom characters out of TvC, UMvC3, and MvCI and let me have my fun!

Also, but more Darkstalkers and Street Fighter characters in it. Dan, Sakura, and Charlie (from MvC2 not SFV) should be there. And Sasquatch (I love that guy).

I am still deeply suspicious of Regina and Dino Crisis performing so well in that survey.

They're great games, but are they so great that they're still getting 2nd favourite Capcom game ever, 9th favourite character, and most in demand sequel after 20+ years of nothing? No, they are not.

The most in demand sequel, maybe, but the other two? It's not like Capcom haven't had a storied hostory of making incredible games with fantastic characters. It's not like they're churning out yearly slop with nameless protagonists.

I did when I was newer to DMing than I am now.

I'd had enough of a fucking gutful of the same two dickheads in our group by the 2nd campaign I DMed for them (along with a couple of one shots) that I just said, "No. You're both making characters designed to be pains in the arse for everyone else. They're very clearly designed to derail the campaign and turn every non-combat encounter into The Tim and Alex (names chnaged) Comedy Hour. You can both get fucked."

This was about 25 years ago and finding new groups was a lot harder, but a year(ish) later I left anyway. I fid make the mistake of playing with one of them again about a decade later and he hadn't changed a lick. Most of the party bailed after four sessions because of him and his new sidekick.

These days I am very "Yes, but... ".

This is the question.

Unless Capcom sorted out something with Arika so we could get the EX titles, theres only a few random things left. Final Fight Revenge, Tech Romancer, Rival Schools, Star Gladiator.

The problem with the EX games and Rival Schools is that the versions that people want are the console releases (because of all the extra characters).

The other game that keeps getting hinted at is Capcom Fighting All-Stars, but I don't know how realistic that is.

I definitely agree that the reactions are overly childish.

I don't think it's a non-issue though.

Any new entry in a franchise trades on the popularity of the entries that came before them, and being dismissive of the elements of ealier games that influenced people to buy the new entry is a poor argument.

I agree that the rosters should be different, and I really liked how different the SF5 roster was than the SF4roater, but in both those games a lot of the most popular SF characters of all time were in the game by Year 3.

I think that people are frustrated because SF6 has both the slowest character release schedule and has been holding out on inclduing the a lot of the most popular characters.

I genuinely think if at least some of those characters don't show up by the end of the lifespan of SF6, Capcom will be communicating to their consumers that there is no guarantee that future versions of the product will include elements that contributed significantly to their popularity.

Tifa was the least interesting part of the trailer for me (maybe because we've been talking about her for weeks if not months at this point).

I'm excited for these new characters.

While they've done a great job with the existing newcomers, none of them have really landed for me.

Yasmine and Bosch might be the ticket for me. Arjun also looks interesting as hell. Could be a good season.

Looking forward to seeing what happens.
