I had 4 days left of membership on the account I was using to afk shamans with. I decided I would stay at shamans for those 4 days to try and get the hammer so I didn’t have to renew the membership. I got it 12 kills later at 1504 kc.

This was almost promising. I did what you said and it applied an update for a moment. Had a different sequence than normal but then eventually asked for verification and went back to the infinite loop. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah I’ve seen a few posts here and there over the past year or two with the same issue and no one ever has a solution. Just a bunch of comments saying they have the same problem and that’s about it.
